Took the plunge

Well, I finally got the nerve to order a Genesis type today. I ordered the Griffin from Discount Vapors and can't wait to get my hands on it. I was at VaporCon on Saturday, saw lots of nest gear, met some nice people and some not so nice, but that's a different story.
Picked up a Smok Vmax, my first dct and a smokteck rbt, going to turn that into a genesis type as soon as my ss mesh comes in.
Love the Vmax, plenty of power, in fact it shot two of my Vivi Novas but live and learn I say. The dct seems ok, holds a lot of juice, flavor does change depending on which VV I use it on and the throat hit is good too.
All in all, I'm very happy with my vaping so far. The Boss Lady is happy too but she did ask if the spending was ever going to stop, I just looked at her and smiled. And I did mention that Christmas is coming up and I just happen to have the web site up for the ProVari, hope she got the hint.
Still doing my own juice and seem to be getting better at it. I do know that I'll never be able to duplicate the same taste I get from pre-made but I can live with my mistakes, so far.
76 days smoke free so far and I still haven't wanted to open another pack. I'll be glad when I can get the banner and instructions on how to use it on my post.

The SS mesh can be a bear to work with. Once oxidized, trick is getting the coil not-too-tight to avoid shorts, and not-too-loose to avoid hot spots. Does the VMAX read ohms? That functionality helped me detect shorts when doing SS wicks, when 1 or 2 turns shorted, and the current-limiting will kept the battery from croaking.

Thanks East, I have the time to do a lot of research, ask questions and try to learn. But I'm like everybody else, I think. I started out on the skinny's, went to a 900mah E-go and worked my way up from there.

Thanks for all the responses, I do appreciate them all. Biker Bob, love your ride! My Boss Lady and I both ride. We have a pair of Vulcan 500s. Soon as we can, she wants a Honda Fury, me I want something I can ride all day. And yes, the Vmax does read ohms, make sit great to keep the right voltage.
Just think, 3 more post and I'll almost be a regular type.
