Well, I finally got up my nerve and placed my initial order last night. Got the Joye eGo kit. Also picked up some different flavors of juice and a couple of driptips. I feel like a little child waiting for his birthday now. Is it here yet? Is it here yet? I'm sure I'll drive my wife crazy.

Had to see my neurosurgeon this AM and told him about my plan. He gave me a rather quizzical look, but after my little "educational session" with him, I think he is onboard with me. I told him of my plan to gradually reduce the amount of nicotine and that made him happy. He wants that bone in my back to grow as quickly as possible and the less nicotine the better. It also means the less time I'll be flat on my back immobilized. (wonder if I can mount a TV on the ceiling?) I was teasing him and asked if it would be OK if I set up a little kiosk in his waiting room to keep his patients occupied while waiting for their appointments and maybe help some peeps out with smoking cessation. Don't think he thought much of that idea....lol.

But just I just had to let everyone know that I'm now on my way to vaping and can't wait for the kit to arrive. The mailman has been advised and he promised when he sees the package, he will personally bring it to the door soon as he hits my subdivision. He knows how I'm always waiting for some "important" package to arrive. I probably drive him crazy as well.

One question.... how do I put the little "counter" of how many analogs I've avoided and how long I've been vaping? I'm sure there are instructions somewhere on the forum, but I've yet to come across them.

Hope everyone has a great week. Take care.... Horton

Great news. If you're like me you'll be smoke free in no time. I started vaping Friday and had a total of 2 analogs over the entire weekend. One each morning, but today I'll be trying to go completely smoke free. It's amazing how well these things work. If you're like a typical smoker you may need somewhat of an extended vaping session in the morning to kick start your nic intake (well at least I do).

As far as the little signature "counter"....click on the one you like from another member...that'll take you to the site where you can input your info, and copy and paste the code to apply to your e-cigarette-forum signature....save and you have your own

You'll love your eGo...just remember it's not as easy as lighting up a cigarette.. it takes some practice...the atty needs breaking in..

DONT FORGET to wrap a paper towel around the end of the atty that connects to the battery and blow that nasty primer out. Then reprime it (drip directly onto the atomizer) with whatever e-juice you plan on using (i've found 3 drops works for me to prime after i've cleaned my atty out)...after that you can decide if you want to drip or just fill carts :)

If you decide to drip - vape the 3 drops you primed and when it loses flavor add 2 drops.
Be sure when dripping to hold your eGo straight up and down so the juice soaks into the atty. Give it like 20 seconds then vape it up.

and Tdubya you should with 16 posts....click the "user cP" button up top!

What is it about neurosurgeons....... they don't have much of a sense of humor! Welcome Horton! I can remember when you could smoke in the hospital after surgery, because I did it in 1987! I have since rolled my i.v. stand outside, just daring security to make me move. You don't want my insurance dollars, there ARE other hospitals who do. I got tired of being made to feel like a leper.

Since your neurosurgeon won't say it, I will! Congrats! We were in Red Lobster last night, in a corner booth, and I stealth vaped. I kept hearing the theme song to Mission Impossible! It was fun!

KEEP YOUR SENSE OF HUMOR!!! It will serve you well, Grasshopper.

Horton, the magic number of posts appears to be 15-16 before you can create a signature. Once you get there you simply click "user cp" and on the left side of the screen there will be an option to "edit signature." Once you find one you like from another user, just click theirs and fill in your info. Copy and paste the code into your signature and you'll have one on your next post. Should work like this
