took the plunge

Greetings to all. I smoked my last cig 16 days ago and I couldn't be happier. I had toyed with the idea of vaping for months, and I bought a disposable blu from the gas station. It was ok, but not really satisfying. A few weeks later, a casual acquaintance told me he was opening an e-cig store in town. I mulled it over for a few weeks and finally decided to take the plunge. I ended up becoming his first official customer, and bought my ego twist kit out of his living room a few days before his store opened. At first I was still smoking 1-5 cigs a day, but after about a week, something strange happened - I didn't WANT a cigarette. It didn't even hit me until I hadn't had one for 3 days, after that it was e a s y, and I was hooked. I quickly upgraded the clearomizers to vivi-novas and after an unfortunate mishap, I replaced one of my twist batteries with a Kamry X6. This thing is a beast - or so I thought. Now its 2am, I'm looking up forums, mods, FB pages, and everything vaping related I can get my hands on. I've become great friends with the guy who sold me my kit(s) and all my friends are asking me questions about vaping like I'm some kind of authority on the subject. I'm the kind of person who takes new hobbies a bit too seriously sometimes, so I'm thrilled and terrified at the same time. My wife already limits the number of flashlights/knives/firearms/fishing reels I'm allowed to buy per year, I wonder how long it will be before she catches on and limits my e-cig purchases... for now, she's just thrilled that I'm not smoking.

Congrats on 16 days of vaping, being a new ecig store's first customer, sharing your knowledge with others, and of course welcome to the forum.

It really is almost too good to be true this vaping stuff. It's the closest I've ever come to having my cake and eating it.

This will definitely turn into a hobby for you. You might even be able to use those flashlight batteries in your ecigs if they are 18650s, 14500, or 18350s. Spend quick before your the thrill is gone for your wife and the CC bills come in.

You sound just like me. I'm from North GA and love to fish and hunt. Smoked for nearly 20yrs. Gave em up over 3 weeks ago and am hooked on vaping. I have an Inferno strapped w a Vivi Nova. Now I'm looking at a Provari. I feel the need to mod everthing I have ( Jeep Wrangler, AR's, 1911's....you get the point). My wife is totally amazed that I quit and the E-cig liquid and parts just keep hitting the mail box. She totally digs my new hobby/habbit. It's WAY cheaper than guns and Jeep mods. LOL! I recently cammo wrapped my E-cig w Mossy Oak Duck Blind. I posted it in another thread but I'll post it again just for you. Congrats on giving up the cigs and welcome to the forum!
