Agreed. But longevity would also be reflected in a new thread. For example, if somebody still has BB & GJ from AVE (which has been around for a while now) as a favorite, then they will still vote for AVE again. That would not change.
Here is just one of the problems with the current "poll":
"A lot has changed in the last two months since I started experimenting with new (to me) vendors. My updated list:"
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-top-5-vendors-e-liquid-271.html#post10556010
Only 1 out of his original 5 made it to his revision. After just 2 months of experimenting.
As vapers try out new brands, they discover some that they just like better. Their old favorites drop off, replaced by something they never even heard of just a few months ago.
How many favorites have changed from a year & a half ago? A year ago? 6 months ago?
The old votes have already been recorded, which are reflected in the the most-recent tally. How many people bother to update in this thread whenever there's a change? I'd wager very few.
I also think perhaps that's one possible reason why there hasn't been a new tally in almost 2 months.. It's just too much of a pain to try to keep track of!
As for Mrs. T's, it's not just that people are waiting 2+ months for their orders, but also apparently that the juice is no longer nowhere near as good as it used to be, that it's now mediocre, at best. Does that still deserve a very respectable #12 spot? Due to the number of votes, mathematically-speaking it will take a loooong time to even knock it down to #20 or whatever (where arguably, should probably be a lot lower than that, still).
Anyway, I understand this thread is your baby, but people should keep in mind the limitations of the whole thing, that the results are skewed, heavily favoring those which were good/popular 1.5 years or 1 year ago. That's not longevity. That's stale data in a quickly-changing industry.
