Sigh. I remember days not too long since when it was not passe to enjoy fine tobaccos, be they via cigarettes, (going to Bond Street to personally select your blends and then having it mixed and rolled for you in-store is the ULTIMATE sophisticate's dream come true!) or pipe or cigar and a fine glass of port. As so many people are here simply because they did or still do smoke, learning the intricacies of what constitutes a good tobacco to them is very important and every bit as varied as there are companies in business making cigarettes, pipe tobacco, cigars, port and e-liquids. OK... so not too many places can make "port", lol - but vintage and vineyard are relevant... However, I digress. I wouldn't denigrate other folks tastes simply because it varies from my own. I enjoy reading people's reports of their experiences, while examples of - tastes like leftover bits of food trapped in my granny's false teeth etc - or "what is it with people that want to have tobacco vs gooey buttery double chocolate caramel drizzle cake batter which is just soooo much better sounds ...well.....a bit snooty. So have a heart for those of us still battling burning tobacco till we find our way! :D

I have a lot of respect for Ahlusion products, but I'm not sure I want my orders tweaked by a computer just because I get adventurous in sampling. I'm looking for a constant, a nirvana vape if you will. I've been going a little nuts today because I can't get the flavor of my favorite juices right with any of my delivery systems or voltage settings. I'm either having a bad taste bud day or my juices have changed dramatically over night.

There is no "tweaking" without you saying that is what you want. I don't believe you would want a constant if you explicitly said you hate coconut and a few juices have coconut: it would be removed. This is not computerized experimentation, this is a well thought out operation that was designed to help cater to peoples articulated desires. You have to correspond with Wlad and be very specific about what you do not want and what you must have before anything takes place. Which reminds me, I need to tell Wlad that I want NO peanut flavor in my juices at all----> poof! There will be none.

Ah gee, so sorry to hear that NMN - I hate those days myself! Did you get a new order or is it a current well-used order tasting "off" "not quite right"?

Hula, I don't know if this was in response to my post, but I am not talking about what "constitut(es) a good tobacco" nor do I mean to be "denigrat(ing) other folks tastes simply because it varies from my own." I am merely saying that some things are objective and some things aren't. Whether or not you like something is not what I was talking about. If someone claims that such and such is a tobacco juice, then without correcting that assertion from an experienced tasters point of view, it could lead to others (like yester-me) going nuts trying to figure out why the hell I bought all these "tobacco" juices and all I ever tasted was "gooey buttery double chocolate caramel drizzle cake batter." "Snooty" would be to say "you haven't tasted the best tobacco juice unless you have tried Vaperite's Organic Tobacco" or "Ahlusion's Devil Dog is inferior to Vapenstein's London, and if you don't think so, you're a simpleton." Saying Dekang is not tobacco is simple arithmetic. If that post was directed at mine, I have a heart for those that are finding their way and I try to help without making anyone feel out of the loop. I was only saying that if someone says a juice is tobacco and it isn't, it should be said. If you taste chocolate in Gandalf, then I may find that interesting or odd, but I won't say you're wrong. If you say Dekang RY4 is an American Spirits replica, I will say you may think so, but it is not.

I hope this reads as casual as I intended it to come off.

Sometimes I wonder if I am explaining myself adequately. Toodle loo.

Hula's post was not in reference to mine, but I will leave it up because I don't think it was a bad exchange, even though I was responding to a ghost.

They are the same bottles just muted flavor. I have resolved the situation by repeatedly drenching my mouth with beer and a rather severe twist on my twist. Thanks. :)

Nope, not your post Mr. M. Apologies for not providing clarity. I enjoy your posts because you define your journey whether it be to fluffy white angel clouds or the contents of granny's seltzer water after she's taken her dentures out of it. I absolutely agree on the tobacco issue. I am in heaven with Gandalf or Bounty Hunter. Would "I" call it tobacco even though one of them is extracted that way? No. Does that matter to anyone else really? No. But I do see a big divide between a traditional tobacco vs. flavored tobaccos I guess is the vague way I'd put it, and to me if you prefer the one vs. the other then it's all cool! Does that say it better? I didn't intend to offend anyone and certainly not your good self sir!

It's funny if you think about it, just how far you can go on your vaping journey. When we (I) were smoking cigs..we were limited to just Tobacco. Maybe a hint of fruit, here in your tobacco...have a few nuts in this tobacco...here ya go....just keep on smoking...tobacco.

Vaping and e liquids...regardless of the vendor gives us all OPTIONS....and those options are practically limitless. I find I enjoy vaping more then I ever enjoyed smoking. Why? Because if I want some strawberry shortcake in my tank or carto or bottom feeder; I got it. Plain old blueberry...right here! Oooooooh caramel cappucino, blueberry cream, strawberry cream, bubble gum, gummy bears, cupcake and add your own icing...etc ad nauseum (or however you spell it)...oops there it is in my vaping stash!!!!

But hey! Some people like the taste of tobacco..they like tobacco vapes...and you know what, that's ok too..because they got us covered. So many options to choose from, how can you not be a little enchanted by vaping and what it entails? Ladies and gentlemen, we have options and from those options we all have favorites. My favorites may not be your favorites. You might even wonder "why the heck are you vaping THAT??? (my husband does that quite frequently:facepalm:)". The end result is still the same and my lungs and tastebuds are thanking me (and you) for it daily.

Now have a dancing banana.

Have a great and relaxing evening everyone. :)

Saying Dekang is not tobacco is simple arithmetic.

Frankly, and I hesitate to say this as there are people here that really like Dekang (go figure), I barely consider it ejuice, much less "tobacco". That could easily just be me and my particular taste buds. :)

Nah, most of us get it. I appreciate your connoisseurship (so to speak) and the way you try to share your knowledge. Even if I disagree with you I can always see your position. As has often been the case in my life, I don't always know as much as I think I know. As I mentioned in another thread (or was it this thread, who can keep up), I sometimes find myself getting schooled here.

That said, there IS a tobacco taste in Boba's! ;)

None taken. But I wanted to be as clear as possible if it was directed at me. What we all have to remember is these posts are read by MANY that aren't even on this forum. What we say matters way more than many of us give credence to. We essentially are on the front lines and are the wind that directs ships in one direction or another. If I didn't have the kind winds of this forum gently guiding me to my beloved vendors, I'd be flicking my filters right now. Preferring a "flavored" tobacco is not the same as saying that what you prefer is tobacco.

I guess I'll have to be careful with what I say then. I just wouldn't want a creation altered unless I requested it.

You wouldn't know. If you said "Wlad, I really like OLE! but I wish it was more tart." Well, then if you chose to order it again, it would be more tart. If you wished it to be more tart, why would you want to order it the same way with low tartness? It's not a diabolical set of electronics, it is a just a vendor trying to make your dish, err, juice the way you wish it to be. When you order a steak, the waiter asks how you like your steak prepared, not, this is how the chef likes it so that is how you will get it. (Well, maybe in some really expensive restaurants. LOL)

Will you guys come after me with pitchforks if I tell you of my experience trying the Boba's?

Ahh heck, I will give it a go anyways. It was just not to my liking. I don't know, maybe my tastebuds were suicidal that evening, but I swear I detected either some raisins or prunes in that vape. I gagged. I heaved. I can't do prunes. Even if my doctor told me I HAD to have prunes in my diet so I didn't have an intestinal explosions..I just couldn't do it.

I was mad too..I really wanted to like that juice. :( My husband loved it.

I have visited the Ahlusion site quite often and even have it bookmarked on my laptop as a favorite. They have some very interesting juices on their site from what I can tell. I think I would enjoy their Canyon Sun and a few other flavors as well. From what I have seen on ECF, their customer service and overall business is impeccable. I will be looking forward to ordering from them soon in the near future.

I am sooooo happy you said this. Screw whether it is a tobacco juice or not, I am just happy that someone doesn't think it is the life blood of vaping. It's alright to me, but I primarily use it to test out new devices, or to break in wicks or attys...wouldn't want to waste the good fuel.

a) I'm convinced that Boba's needs to be steeped for at least a week.

b) I'm convinced that Boba's is an acquired taste for many people (like beer)
