Is it possible that you are using a clearomizer type of device?

Yes, my go to is a Stardust 2.1-2.4ohm. I have four of them filled on various recent dates and all four had a muted flavor. I also dripped several liquids earlier and they just didn't have that pop. A couple beers helped though. :toast:

It's ok Mr. Gthompson. If it's any consolation, my favorite juice (Strawberry Shortcake/Ms. T's)...my husband swears it's something equivalent of evil (trying to use the PG polite version) and can't wrap his head around why I love fruits and dessert vapes so much. It just goes to show, that in the end you are right, it's an acquired taste...like beer...like wine.. like stinky cheese and liver and onions w/hot sauce on top. We each have this unique preference for what is "good" to us. Sometimes we all flow on the same page...and sometimes our journey simply takes us on a new path. :)

Hey, even Andrew Zimmerman hates walnuts. He will eat baked larva, but not walnuts. haha

There is no "tweaking" without you saying that is what you want. I don't believe you would want a constant if you explicitly said you hate coconut and a few juices have coconut: it would be removed. This is not computerized experimentation, this is a well thought out operation that was designed to help cater to peoples articulated desires. You have to correspond with Wlad and be very specific about what you do not want and what you must have before anything takes place.

I think this is fantastic. One of my fav vendors seems to have thing for cinnamon, which I hate hate hate. Just to make sure there is no cinnamon or even anthing that could be construed as cinnamon (i.e. "spicy") needs to be deleted forever from any juice I order. :)

This is truly a value-added service.

However, the pabst blue ribbon comment will have to go. :) I shot a lot of pool in college drinking that stuff..it was cheap but improved my game quite a bit, so I'm partial. :)

I have read too many times that Boba's (more than any other juice) is the epitome of juice creations.

Yeah I know. If AVE hadn't reopened this week, there'd be 50% less posters on ECF (mass suicide).

You never heard me say it was the epitome of juice. Heck, we don't even use that kind of language down here in Dixie! Oh wait, I looked up epitome, it doesn't mean that after all......

 only if you enjoy being chased with pitchforks aiming at your rear in which case I guess we can round some up for you. :D Otherwise no pitchforks allowed and your thoughts are looked forward to.

Will you guys come after me with pitchforks if I tell you of my experience trying the Boba's?

Ahh heck, I will give it a go anyways. It was just not to my liking. I don't know, maybe my tastebuds were suicidal that evening, but I swear I detected either some raisins or prunes in that vape. I gagged. I heaved. I can't do prunes. Even if my doctor told me I HAD to have prunes in my diet so I didn't have an intestinal explosions..I just couldn't do it.

I was mad too..I really wanted to like that juice. :( My husband loved it.

That can happen. If the beer doesn't work, dowse yourself with vodka instead of the atties - everything will taste just (hic..) fine :w00t:

They are the same bottles just muted flavor. I have resolved the situation by repeatedly drenching my mouth with beer and a rather severe twist on my twist. Thanks. :)

I think Boba's is one of the more interesting juices out there. If you gotta pick an all-day vape, why not pick that one? It's not to everyone's liking, but it's got a flavor that changes constantly, it's hard to define, it performs well, and it's got a teency-weency bit of tobacco flavoring in it :p. Me, I just don't understand the whole "all-day vape" thing and why everyone is so busy looking for one. As cigarette smokers, our options were limited, and pipes and cigars were (or are still) wonderful and added variety to our combustible tobacco experience, but they just don't scratch the itch the same way a coffin nail does. As vapers, we have a seemingly limitless assortment of flavors to choose from, from Crab Juice to Champagne. Is Boba's my favorite juice? No. Is it one of 20 or so juices I will always have on hand? Yes. When I want a really interesting, slightly desserty vape, I go for Boba's. When I want a tobacco, I hit my GoodeJuice or Want2Vape stash.

I can't tell if your serious or just having fun.( I get your reference to MM and dousing atties w/vodka) I was kinda freaking out cause my sense of taste and, to a lesser degree, my sense of smell were diminished by like 50%. After my 1st beer and some more adjustments on my Twist, I found my happy place again. Interestingly enough, after my first bourbon I was able to return to my normal setting and have been vaping happily ever since. I'm too new to know if this is common or not. It was real though. Maybe we're on to something.

I haven't tried Boba's yet(only because I haven't been able to order it yet) and I'm wondering about all VG. I think Sweet Tobaccos are my thing though. If nothing else, perhaps it will blend nicely with a high PG tobacco. Then again, I guess it's all VG for a reason and that might not be a good idea. Oh well, maybe one more whisky... :toast:
PS You wrote the best juice review I've read. By a long shot!

Hey, thanks!!! That's a big compliment!

Actually part of the reason I fell in love with Boba's was because it's all VG. I had never tried an all-VG juice before (only 70/30 blends up to that point), and I was completely blown away by the amount of vapor. Boba's is probably the most controversial juice out there. A lot of people love it, some are neutral toward it, and some hate it, but it's been out there for quite a while and we're still talking about it. I get tired of it sometimes, but I always find myself coming back to it. Plus, once you think you've got it figured out, it starts to taste different, so it's kind of fun in that regard. I'd say give it a try so you at least know what all the fuss is about. AVE is a great company to deal with, and it should be available again soon.

The Vapor Room.net | Vaporize Nicotine | E Cig Atomizers
Flavour Arts "ready to vape" e-liquid, I believe called "Liqua" here in the US-carried at Welcome to CAROLINA VAPES - Specializing in Handmade Mods
Joye eGo | Joye 510 | Electronic Cigarette supplies Tulsa | Batteries, atomizers, cartomizers, e-Liquid and more! I believe might be DeKangs
Elite Vaporworks Home

thats about it. But 90% of the time I vape The Vapor Room. But that Flavour Art liquid is unbelievable!

-CC

Gotvapes also carries Liqua. I tried their apple flavor the other day -- shockingly good!

Always in fun. Actually though you sometimes need to take a break from vaping, or completely change flavors, because muted flavor/dull tastebuds can occur. So probably your break with a shot of something to warm the heart helped a lot. Most important drink lots of water that too will help cleanse your palette and keep you hydrated. :)

Yep, whisky's not so good for the hydration!

It was just not to my liking.

I think it tastes a little dead, to be honest.

As for the "tobacco" it's like a tobacco-kinda-sorta taste.....in other words, I believe wholeheartedly that the maker was trying to please the tobacco lover a bit here, while not putting off the others who might like the graham cracker / cola thing.
I dunno what you call faux tobacco juices, but Johnson's creek seems to have made a living out of just carrying those kind of juices....I think they have *one* juice that they say doesn't have any tobacco or tobacco undertone? Solstice or something.

It's funny when I first started vaping, like so many newbies, I thought juice had to have the tobacco taste. Now, I've found a whole new world by NOT vaping that stuff. As it turns out, its not bakery or mint or sweets that work for me, but "drinks" I really like lime ades, juice coolers and coffee vapes. Wierd!

I think some coctail type juices might be good, why aren't there many jucies that taste like tequila?
