Top Fed Clearomizer or Bottom Fed

I currently run a top fed clearomizer on an ego battery and i rebuild it with 32 gauge kanthal wire and cotton. I like the rebuilding set up but i an still burning the wicks rather quick and i am not interested in changing my battery. Would a bottom fed clearomizer minimize the burning wick issue?

Not necessarily.

If you are not getting enough juice (wicking), it will burn.

If you use BCC and not getting enough juice , it will burn also.

What battery, what setting, what resistant are you using?

Everything is about the same really, My PT2 mini works better than any of my vivi novas, but I got a bad coil for my evod, and it will leak the whole tank if you blow it out (as well as a burnt taste coming 2 days after purchase). All clearomizers will leak, all of them will occasionally give burnt taste, I just notice a lot less burnt taste on a bcc.

I have a 3.5v battery standard with no setting changes running a 1.8 resistance and my pg/vg levels vary i usually stick with a 33%pg...

I prefer BCC with my Smok Tech Pyrex ARO I've not had any leaks or burnt taste at all in 6 weeks of use.

2.4 ohm resistance stock coil about 4.5v on my Buzz Pro.

I guess I should add that I have used anything from 80pg/20vg to 20pg/80vg, I mostly use 50/50.

with that high of a VG percent, make sure its not too think to wick properly. if its too thick you could add some distilled water to thin it a bit to help with wicking. if your using a bottom fed, you can try removing a flavor wick or two (start with one and if still having issues then remove another.). for Top fed just add either PGA or distilled water to make it less thick so it wicks better. PGA will give it a bit more throat hit if used.

i prefer the bottom coil ones. I couldn't get the top coil clearos to wick reliably. I usually have to remove one of the flavor wicks from the bottom coil, but after that i no longer get a burnt taste.

I will try the Distilled Water trick next time i fill up and replace a coil...wish i would have looked at this forum before i changed it earlier lol...Thank you so much and i will let you know how it goes.
