BELLE VERNON PA.
I have found differences in the ones from gotvapes and discount vapers. One is the hole in the bottom is a different size, can't remember what else was just slightly different. These were bought only a week apart. They work great when they work. Unfortunately any trial of wick clipping, post adjustment, squeezing, flicking or what ever has not given me a nice vape without dry hits from my thick vg juice. Really like them, I do, but the Phoenix, CE3 XL or what ever who ever calls them just isn't for me. Vivi has been great, but still looking for a perfect 'mine' set up. Not quite there yet.

So, are different factories in china coping each other? I started 53 days ago with 2 ego kits from a vendor in Pa, that sold authenic joyetech product. When I ordered some extra batteries ect. elsewhere, that cost afew dollars less, and were called ego batteries, it was obviuos to me that it was not authentic product......the battery had ego-t on the black rubbery, but was missing the 2 other Joyetech stamps on the metal.

Have you tried doing a dry draw before you actually fire the device? Sometimes with thicker liquid it just doesn't wick fast enough. I haven't tried VG in them yet but the thinker juices I have tried I do a quick draw first then vape it. Works better for me. So you say you like the Vivi nova? I have a provari on order and was thinking of trying the Vivi with the provari. I haven't had much luck with DCT tanks so far. But I think the tank will clearly be the way to go on top that bad boy.

I bought one CE3 as a test a couple of months ago, from a local vendor. It was terrific - great vapor production, long-lasting, easy to clean, no leaks. Well... that is, no leaks once I figured out the trick to filling it. So, completely sold on them, I bought a pack of five. The first one out of the box was only so-so - mediocre vapor production and it leaked a bit, though not really bad. The second one was terrific again, as was the third. The fourth was garbage - it was about impossible to even keep juice in it long enough to find out how much vapor it put out. And the fifth was... pretty good. It didn't leak, but it didn't put out much vapor either.

And two more boxes later, that's been my experience with them - out of a box of five, I get three or maybe four that are great and the rest are only so-so. I don't know how much of it is manufacturing issues and how much of it is my fault, but in a sense, that, in my opinion, can be counted as something of a manufacturing issue anyway. If it's so delicate that a user can entirely inadvertently and unknowingly make it useless, then that's something that should probably be addressed.

In any event, I like them much more than any of the CE2s and probably better than the Stardust. They're a bit more of a hassle to fill, but they vape MUCH better. When they work. And don't leak.

Still trying to sort out why the ones that leak leak. As noted earlier, if the fill hole is punched out, that can be a problem, but that doesn't seem to be the case always. I swapped out a top gasket from one that I knew didn't leak into one that I knew did leak, and it still leaked. The gasket seemed to be seated solidly, so I don't think the problem was the seal around it. My assumption then was that it was leaking from inside the coil assembly housing and the air was coming in through the mouthpiece and the center tube - like possibly there was too little wick material, or it was just distributed in such a way that there was a gap in it and liquid could seep through that? I dunno - I'm just reasonably certain that it wasn't the top gasket seal.

Still though - the CE3 is definitely the best clearomizer I've tried so far. Though I did just get my new Vivi Nova in the mail an hour or so ago, and I'm loving it so far. But that's a subject for a different post...

Thanks for the tip on the dry draw before firing, I was getting a bit of a burnt taste. Was not interested in messing with the innards yet. I'd +rep if it were possible :)

I can't say that there are different factories, I just know that I can tell only very slight differences in one pack from gotvapes and one pack from discountvapers. The wife loves them, but she has a few thinner juices she likes. Hasn't had any problem with those.

I have tried the dry draws. It does work to prime the wick, but it's a PITA to have to draw, dry draw, draw, dry draw and then maybe forget to dry draw. Still would like to do some filing of the channels and see if I can get it to work for me. Haven't tried thinning any liquid yet, may give that a shot.

I have to agree, 100%. When they work right, I really like them. They just don't like thick liquid

Does the CE3 have to be cleaned before using? I just got a 5 pack, filled one up but the taste was horrible. Was this some sort of primer?
I've only used cartos in my brief vaping experience.

I used to clean them, however the newer ones are not as bad, so I don't bother. Usually after 4 or 5 draws the horrid taste is completely gone. Some vendors say that theirs have no primer(?)but I've found the wicks are still wet with something.

You don't have to file the channels at all. Try this once. The bottom assembly and the metal tube have about a 1/16 lip before the 2 separate. Just wiggle the tube a little higher without separating it. It will open up the channels a bit to let some fluid to flood in faster. And see if that trick works out. I have done that with some thicker juices.

Just found em on gotvapes.com. I'm getting me some soon! Love my CE3's

Mind linking them? For some reason or another, I can never navigate myself around their website that well.

Edit: Never mind. Found them right here. Will definitely be ordering some soon.
