Hello All,

I've started with the Kanger T3S and now mainly use the Protank (I found it to be more enjoyable again once I chucked the original atomizer and replaced it with a fresh one).

I've been very curious about the top-feeder style tanks lately, like the Aga-T2 and such... Can you guys explain how the top feeder works in a nutshell? Is it the same principle as a bottom feeder? A wick will wick the juice, coil around the wick vaporizes it?

What is the advantage/disadvantage of the top feeder system as compared to a rebuilt, using SS mesh, Protank atomizer versus say an Aga-T2 (or any other top feeders out there)?

Also, I'm only familiar with the existence of the Aga-T2, can some of you vets please also name some other quality top-feeder system that won't leak or drip (no pun intended)? I generally keep my APV in my shirt pocket so the last thing I want is a spill of e juice on my shirt...

Thanks!

These are not "top feeding" but rather Genesis style rebuildables. The way a genesis works is by using stainless steel mesh rolled into a wick then placed in a wick hole and has kanthal wrapped around. in order to wick it you'll have to give it the good old genesis tilt while vaping for the juice to travel along/through the stainless steel mesh to the coil. The advantages are the flavor, throat hit, and vapor...not to mention you can build a nice low resistance to be used on mech mods that have a fixed voltage output. I can give you some suggestions if you would like to PM me and give me a little more info on budget.

Thank you so much for a quick explanation of the system. I might dabble into it in a few months after I go through my atomizer replacements for my Clearos...

I'm thinking of giving it a try with the SS mesh-based rebuild for my bottom feeding system first to experience the difference between SS mesh and the silica wick that's currently in my atomizer cartridges...

What is the best way to oxidize SS mesh to keep it from conducting current? Also, does the oxidation last forever or does it eventually get worn down by the e juices flowing through it (also from the heat that the coil is hitting it with)?

Is the Aga-T2 a good system? I don't like buying a bunch of different tanks, I would like to get a nice quality one to work on that would be my last tank I'll ever own (not sure how true that will be, since I'm already on my second mod + 3 clearos + accessories for my latest mod the eVic :p)

SS mesh on a clearo is gonna be no dice, it doesn't work like silica. The best way is to use the rolling paper method that you can find on YouTube with a quick search, or running a lighter under until it is red hot, then add a bit of juice, the re burn to red hot and repeat about 3 times. The AGA-T2 is definitely a good place to start for you especially because you're not too familiar with what you'll be working with. Also once you oxidize you'll be fine, no need to re oxidize.

Ahh, that's what the "RBA" stands for. I'm referring to the "RBA" type...

Does a rebuilt, SS-mesh based, bottom Clearo compare in performance to an RBA in terms of vapor generation? Part of my addiction to analogs for so long was being able to see the big puff of cloud... That's why the patches and the gums failed miserably on my path to ridding analogs...

The gums especially, it was like chewing on an ashtray-flavored gum (no matter what the advertised flavor was for those gums)... :p

Your vapor production is gonna be determined by your ohm resistance on your topper and how much power you're giving it

This reminds me... I'm gonna go build my AGT i recieved today. :2cool::vapor:
