Hi everyone,

Well, first things first please excuse my english (I'm french speaking) :). I have been vaping since 2 months now and I really enjoy it. I was a smoker for 5 years at 1 pack a day. Probably like some of you I have litteraly stalked Pbusardo's videos on youtube so that I can learn the much I can. I have been vaping on an emini from ovale to start, now I'm using an iTaste SVD with a aspire BDC Vivi Style at 1.9ohm. I know mechs are more for "expert" users from what I have watched but trust me I learn really fast so I'm looking for one now.

So lets go to the point .... :p I'm looking to buy a Chi You Clone (I'm a student, can't pay for the real thing...) and I was wondering if I could use my Aspire BDC on the Chi You ... from what I understood it might be too much at 1.9ohm. I might be mistaking too so please help me to know what a good topper would be. (By the way I'm using an AW IMR 18650 3.7V)

Thanks a lot and looking foward to spend more time on this forum.

Antoine.

I think drippers are really interesting and it's in my projects to to buy an Igo-S in the near future but I would kinda like to stick with my aspire for now. And for the kick I need to get my hands on one ... Since mechs aren't regulated I just didn't want the thing to blow up in my face if I used my Aspire BDC at 1.9ohms on a Chi You Clone without a kick to begin.

Thanks.

Start with the IGO-W. It was good for me to start with. I just honestly dont see the point of getting a mech mod to use with a clearo. I have a nemesis and the last thing I think about is putting a clearo on it. I have a MVP2 for clearos. Just my opinion bud and keep off the stinkies because at the end thats all that matters :toast:

Thanks a lot for the help ! I'll try to post what I thougt of the iGo-W with the Chi You Clone this weekend.

Antoine

Please do! Watch some videos on wrapping your own coils as you will have to with the IGO W. Get some 28g Kanthal, organic/sterile cotton, a 5/64 drill bit and keep us updated on your progress. Patience is a virtue. Youtube is your friend!

1.9 ohms is perfectly fine to use. to see what your topper would do on a mech, turn your voltage on your SVD to 4.2 volts. that is what a fresh battery in a mech would be like. then turn the voltage down to 3.7, this is what the majority of the battery charge will be like. then you check the battery charge on a multimeter to see where its at and if it needs charged. you can use a mesh with your topper just fine.

Really helpfull ! I'm around 3.7 with my SVD all the time, when I tried it at 4.2 it tasted a little burned i can live with that until the voltage drops on the battery a little bit ! :) I might end up going with an AIOS Hybrid wich is made for the Chi You, currently watching some videos on it. If ever one of you has tried it feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

Antoine

1.9 ohm is just fine on a Chi clone

I standard set up my Mechs with 1.2-1.8 ohm coils. It will be fine at 1.9.

There is a subsection of vapers that do all the crazy sub ohm builds and stuff. FOr them a mech is pretty much the only economical choice to use or in some cases the only choice. Do not let this confuse you into thinking only those low ohm setups can run on a mech. I have run as high as 2.2 ohm on my mechs and been just fine. I just prefer the 1.2-1.8 range.

I have the AIOS clone from fasttech for my chi you clone also from fastech. Love the CHi You absolutely hate the AIOS. The one I have was not machined well at all and is horrible to try and get setup without dry hits.

I have several drippers and tanks I use at home and some cheap ce4s I use when out and about.
My bottom coil tanks leak horribly when I take them out in the cold. Well they actually lwak when warming back up and im too impatient to let them warm up to not leak so I just use the ce4 when going out.

Use whatever works for you. That is the correct setup.
