I hope Hoog responds, because I'm about to butcher what he said in a thread that I can no longer find.

Anyway, apparently his liquids are alcohol based, which he gets from a supplier that gives him a really good deal on the raw resources that he needs to make the juice. He's just passing the savings on to you. The wool isn't being put over your eyes. :) In fact, I remember a few months back that there was suspicion circulating that one of the chemicals (a flavoring agent) that was used in their Butter-pecan juice may have been dangerous when vaporized and inhaled. Hoog quickly had it pulled and inspected. Keep in mind that he's a small business man and actually cares about the safety, and arguably more important, the wallet of his customers.

We do used alcohol based flavorings and buy by the gallon or 5 gallon drum. VG and PG we buy 55 gallon drums and bottles we buy from China. We have our own facility where we cut 99.9% nic down to 300mg and mix our own juice.. All of it keeps costs down.

The part that stinks a bit is the full ingredient list on flavors is secretive (like recipes) so with butter rum and butter pecan (two of my favs), the flavor manufacturer would not disclose the ingredients.. So to be careful we had to pull them. We have found a new Butter Rum flavor and it's good but not as good as the original :(

Hoog, I did not know that "my Precious" Butter Pecan was also one of your favorites (I am a disciplined hoarder, I STILL have a few drops left in my bottle from August).

Does that mean I am not a fool for hoping that someday you might once again sell Butter Pecan? TFA has been eliminating that "D" ingredient in their line... but of course I don't know whose flavoring you were using.

I've never noticed clove, but they do indeed have DK-Tab in custom nic amounts. Look under "Custom China E-Liquid" and select "Dekang Tobacco"

I was wondering about that. My understanding is that DK-TAB stands for "DeKang Turkish American Blend", and that "DK tobacco" is a different flavor. I've tried and like TAB, but I've never tried "tobacco".

But, I have seen some people use the names interchangeably, including some of the descriptions at MadVapes.

So, is the custom Dekang Tobacco at MadVapes DK-TAB, or DK-Tobacco, or are they really the same thing?

You are correct that Dekang Tobacco and dk-tab are two different flavors. dk-tab is much darker and richer than dk tobacco that is more of a plain tobacco flavor..
