Hi, I'm posting here because I'm unable to post in the mod section yet.

I recently built a high-voltage mod using a Torchlight per instructions on the mod section on how to create a quick-easy-6v-510-torch (I can't post links yet).

Ok, so I am using 2 CR123A 3.0 volt for a total of 6 volts, which I AM getting w/ the voltmeter when everything is put together EXCEPT the atomizer. HOWEVER, when I screw in the 510 atomizer, I get no vapor!

QUESTION: When I test any atomizer w/ the voltmeter set to ring when there's a connection (short), it rings as if there's no insulator between the center post and outside of atomizer. Why is that?? And is there something I'm not comprehending .... I can't understand why my mod is not working when I do indeed read 6 volts w/out the atomizer.

Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated :)

contino,

Lets see if I can help.
1. You are getting 6 volts at the atti connector using your volt meter.

2. When you say "ring" I think you are saying ...that on OHM scale you are reading a "short". Most atti's are 2 to 3 OHMS so they are very close to a "short". If you can "read" the ohms on your meter you should see 2-3 ohms.

3. So if you are getting voltage and it looks like your atti's are not burned out. The only thing that could be happening is that the atti connector and the atti are not making contact.

Make sure that the connection to the atti is tight.
