hey guys having an issue here. just received a 510 in-line voltmeter and tried it out on my tube mech mod (stingray x clone). worked great. volt drop w/o load was as advertised and the drop under a 0.65ohm load seemed right. however when i threw it on my box mod it wouldnt read. so i adjusted the 510 pin and still wouldnt read. strangely enough, when i put an atty on top and fired it, the atty started to fire. so i know there is current going through the volt meter theres just no display of voltage. any ideas why this is happening? thx

So I googled your box mod and you do have the negative end of the battery going to your 510 center pin, which is why the tank meter doesn't work. I'm not sure why you can't flip the batteries around (as the warning label indicates) as it should fire either way, but anyhow, that's the reason for the tank meter not working.

edit: those terminals aren't reversible so it likely won't fire at all if reversed.
So, no tank meter for you.

I don't see any reason why this mod would be dangerous if the batteries were flipped around. Any experts who could shed light on a scenario where it would actually be dangerous? I just don't see it.

If I had this sub-sub-ohming beast mod, I'd want to be able to use my tank meter too. I would solder a couple dimples on those positive terminals to allow the negative ends to make contact.
