I am torn between VV/VW devices. Being new to this I just want to make sure I can use any attachment I might want to try, carto, clearo, driper, atomizer, rebuildable or not, ego or 510, I just want my bases covered.

I have read more reviews and watched more videos than I care to mention only to become more confused than ever. I understand you love your device and rave on it. If I was the kind of guy to buy a Ford rather than a Dodge I would likely rave on the Ford (though it would be bad advice ) So please, instead of telling me what you love about your device tell me what you hate about it or wish was better.

Everyone seems to point to this as a personal preference.
I can almost not stand the looks of the SVD, so toss it on the back burner. The Provari was a very strong contender but was knocked out of the race. The Cyborg... yummy, nice, but I do not have shinyitis “yet” so it will have a wait a month or so. Also not interested in box mods at all.

That leaves me with the hcigar Vamo V5, the Sigelei Zmax V5, and the joyetech eVic. Unless I missed something.

I know this is an odd request but there is almost a years worth of “I love it” postings on this site alone about each of them. Maybe what you dislike will help me choose.

Thanks for your time reading this and any reply you care to make.

They are all pretty much the same thing. I have owned a Vamo and a Zmax. Of the 2, the Zmax was better in terms of build quality. I also liked that it was telescopic, so I could use 18500 batteries as well. As for the eVic, not had much experience with it, but there are some definite fans.

You sound like you know what you want. There is nothing in your list that is technically a bad device. Each of them just has separate quirks.

I don't see the MVP 2 listed. I have had mine for over a month now, and I love it. I know you said you didn't want to hear " I love it", so i will tell you why..... First of all, it was only $40, and came with an Iclear 30. I have run it with a couple of clearomizers, a carto tank, and a kayfun lite clone. It has been able to support all of these devices. I have run the kayfun with a couple different coils that I have made, and has had no problem with any of them. The MVP has an incredible battery in it. It has been stated in many posts, that the battery will last 2-3 days on a charge. I normally charge mine every other day. As an added bonus/gimmick, the MVP 2 will allow you to charge your phone using the mod as a power source. You can also vape, while charging the mod. HTH

wouldnt the mvp2 technically be a box mod? op stated no box mods. but for the money thats what i would get. vv/vw great battery life and it will take pretty much any atty you can think of. and you can charge stuff off of it lol. i had one and loved it for the brief time it was working (long story as to why it no longe works. has nothing to do with the build/quality of the device. lets just say outside forces. like an angry gf and the wall...)

All of the devices you listed on your paired down to list will NOT accept any ego threaded device without a 510 to ego adaptor. Just so you know.

Also I think the Hcigar is a mech mod, not VV/VW at all, so a very different animal than the rest on your list.

Vamo V5 says VV/VW and looking at the pic I assume it is ego threading. Could be wrong though.

Zmax V5 also says VV/VW and 510/ego. Please, if these are misinformation correct me. I am clueless, only stating what I read.

Joyetech eVic says VV/VW but I stand corrected. Look like it is only 510. thanks for that, will add a 510 to eGo adapter to my list of possible needs. This one has my favored look, but I also here it is very fragile so not sure.

I hate to say it but that is sad and funny at the same time... Was it a situation like I had once with a Laptop? She said "you love that damn thing more than me!!" and it went flying. Needless to say, both have been replaced

Own the Vamo V2 and V3 and like the triple button. When I first got the Zmax the single button took a bit of getting used to but is better build quality than the Vamo IMO.

The Evic does accept Ego threaded devices. I just screwed a mini Protank on my Evic.

Thank you very much. Great to "know". Hard to rely completely on the information supplied by someone trying to sell something. what about the Evic is so cheaply made, i read the charger cover breaks off easy and it just feels thin. What have you experienced?

The first version of the Evic was indeed very fragile. The control head was just glued together. The second version, that came out during the summer has two screws that hold the head together and is much stronger. I have had one of the second version since September that I have not had any problems with. I have enjoyed it.

does the screen bother you, .... sideways push out of line? what about the battery cover threads, do they strip easily?

The charger cover is just a rubber tab, like on the flip phones. I have not had any problems with it.

I know it's not on your list because it's a box mod, which is why I almost didn't get an MVP myself. Regardless, I got used to it quickly. The worst parts:
1. It's a box.
2. You don't have it on your list.
3. It doesn't tolerate angry girlfriends/boyfriends or walls. :?:

Aside from that, it's been great!

Sigelei Zmax Telescopic V3 and V5 are similar. V5 has a different OLED display and offers two additional features over V3: a puff counter and an accessory cell phone charger.

The Sigelei Zmax Telescopic V3/V5 are solid, heavy, stainless steel VV/VW APVs. They offer hard stainless steel 510/eGo connections, removable top cap and telescopic tube bodies that accept 18350, 2x18350, 18490, 18500 and 18650 batteries. It's one of the shortest VV/VW tube mods available at all of these battery sizes. No need to buy an additional "mini" model for 18350 or optional tube extensions. The Sigelei telescopics offer battery versatility right out of the box. I've been using mine exclusively for eight months and loving it. I bought a second Sigelei (body only) for $42 as a back-up unit three weeks ago.
