Toronto Vape Meet

Ok I really haven't seen too many Torontonians around here... then there's always the vague "from Ontario". Nevertheless I'm toying with the idea. Would have to find a venue first of course.

There must be a whole slew of vaping downtowners or nearbyers somewhere.

Just a thought.

Should be one coming up late this month or early next month.

It's far enough for me. I travel from Burlington. Pherse travels from London. It's worth the drive.

I'd kinda like to see a meet in Toronto proper. I don't drive, so the Honest Lawyer is a bit of an issue for me to get to.

Met a new vaperer tonight - oh how I love this, we find each other. He's never been to ECF, believe it or not. A local musician, very cool guy, gung ho about meeting up with like-minded vaper people in Toronto.

The problem is that a lot of people from inside Toronto don't drive because we have the TTC. Getting out that far north of the city is an issue for a lot of us. For me it would be an almost 2 hour trip just to get there, and another 2 to get home.

I'd love to meet fellow vapers, but the trip is just way too much.

Guys, what about moving the vape meet to yonge and Finch area? That way, people in Toronto that don't drive can get there on the subway, and it's centralish to everyone else around the GTA.... Kinda sucks to exclude those in TO without cars...

I live behind Shopper's World. Bus terminal is right there.

I live car-less in downtown TO and make it to almost every meet. Take the TTC to Don Mills Station and take a YRT bus over (the stop is right outside Honest Lawyer). Takes almost 90 minutes to get there but always worth the trip for me. Actually a TTC bus goes up to Highway 7 but it's a 20 minute walk afterwards (which I also did during the YRT strike). I've always gotten a ride home or at least somewhere in TO where I can catch an all-night bus.

Off topic, but I lived in TO for a bit and lived near Jane and Finch (yeah, I know the reputation at that corner). I also used to work for TTC, so this thread is nostalgic for me. Have fun where ever you guys meet.

What's this I hear? Not in the city? That far out of the city? Folks.. we're talking about Highway 7 and Leslie. You can practically SPIT on Steeles from there. I know that most "downtown" folks consider anything north of the 401 to be out of the city, but really it's not.

If you drive, there's no excuse. For those that don't, just put out the word that you are interested in coming to the meet and I am sure "somebody" in the area would be glad to either a)bring you along or b) be able to grab you from the nearest bus/train station.

I move to Pickering in the next month, and do not intend to stop attending the meets. The guys from Burlington, Hamilton, Barrie etc travel much further than that.

I've been thinking about it for the past 3 meets & really felt odd about going by myself. So this should work for me & others.

The T.O. VAPING SHUTTLE is born. So here's what I can do. I can pick up 7 vapers at any station (preferably along Yonge Line) & drive us to & from the meet. My Sienna bus fits 8 & all your vaping gear. Just 1 station & you can decide. How's that?
