toronto vapers?

i was wondering if there were vapers in toronto?
it would be great to see if we could either get together, or at least,
create a social group.

let me know!!

i live in the west end. i like this forum as i always get great ideas. it's also nice to have the support.

my official quit date was aug 25 09. i have had only one serious relapse with analogs, and i havn't gone back since. i get the temptation, but then i remember how much they taste ... REALLY bad.

i have checked out Happy Vapers section, only he doesn't meet in Toronto. he meets NORTH of Toronto. i have talked to him a bit, and for him to come south seems as convenient as me going as north as he is. which really, isn't at all. the GTA is huge, but the actual city of Toronto, is in the GTA.

this group is for people who actually do live in Toronto, as opposed to the GTA, which is where our friend from Happy Vapor has his meets.

so Happy Vapor dude .... lets see if anyone wants to come to the south end of the GTA ...

I was @ the last happy vaper inspired get together. It was really fun btw. I am north of toronto so it was a no brainer for me. Ive spoken to Jack (of happy vaper) and he (and others) are on the hunt for a place on the subway line to hold the next one.

I know for alot of ppl in the city, going north of the subway is like entering the arctic circle, but we 905ers dont mind traveling south in the interest of a bigger/better party.

If you know of a bar within the city limits that will condone a bunch of vapers vaping indoors, please let it be known!

Hey mlady!

Happy Vaper dude, here!

I am DYING to hold our third meetup but, as many have requested something more accessible, I postponed it until we can find something in the city. As I informed you, I am more than Happy to meet in the city if someone can help find a suitable location. Finding a good place that will have us is not as easy as I would have thought and I'm not downtown frequently enough to make this happen quickly.

I've checked out Yonge and Eg, and it just doesn't seem very friendly and inviting. I went out to the Danforth and places that I felt were as comfortable as 'The Honest Lawyer' (like 'The Only') were just too small.

Finally, I made it to 2 bars recommended by one of my customers 'Sin and Redemption' and 'The Village Idiot' (on McCaul, near the AGO). They seem prime, but the manager was not in and the staff would not confirm that a group of us vapers would be welcome to vape. If someone is in the area and can get us a pass with the management, that would be awesome! I'm hoping to try and hit them again this coming Tuesday night.

Also, if anyone knows of a comfortable, accessible place that would have us, PLEASE, let me know!

Do you have any suggestions, mlady? Pass on some suggestions and I can try and hit them to see if they would be open to our group.

I hope we can get something going soon!

I'm in Whitby and I'm actually a bit disappointed that I don't get more strange looks, questions, etc from people.

PS. For me personally, the downtown core is the worst place to hold it. I avoid it at all costs

i think no matter where u guys meet, it'll be out of the way for some no matter what, u can't please everybody! on another note, lets keep this thread so we can share info about places to get supplies or simply get to know our fellow toronto/gta vapers! i say forget the social groups, keep it in a thread so other canucks can chat here too

i know we were talking about meeting up to vape. i guess my perspective isn't so much on the vaping at whatever place is chosen. but just the commraderie with others who have a similar interest. i use my PV like a smoke, so i go outside when i want to. i don't necessarily need to vape inside.

so Jack .. thanks so much for your hard work at getting the Greater Toronto Area Vaping Community (or GTAVC for short?) a place to meet.

i dunno .. just trying to come up with a few ideas. its' great to see that others feel the same way.

and joker, dude ... a thread for GTA/Toronto vapers is a great idea.

Toronto is also known as the "BIG SMOKE" wouldn't it be great if we could change that to the "BIG VAPE?"

lol i saw that social group long ago, tried to join & it just redirects me to smokum's profile? anyways, i duno if i'd do a get together, but i say u guys should pick somewhere around the bloor & yonge area or along the bloor/danforth subway line since its the midpoint between all the subway lines...my buds know places that let us smoke & drink indoors after last call hours, but they aren't the kind of bar where friendly ppl go hehe...

PS. i noticed many of u do not put ur location in ur profile, maybe we should start! instead of just toronto, try to mention what part of toronto or GTA yall are from...

and joker, you are right, not everyone who is into vaping, who lives in the GTA wants to meet other vapers in person. i get that..

meeting and young and bloor? well, there is a timmies at the corner. (for our american friends, that's tim horton's to you. the best damn coffee shop in the world)

guess we would have to really buy a lot of timbits to convince them we can vape in there ...

Ya, I had a heck of a time setting one up in the beginning because of forum issues (when there were only 4 social groups, lol), and permissions....

Then "National Forums" category was set up to replace THAT social group set up for us (causing a poor misguided re-direct).

Anyways...... what I'd like to do is get interested "area" social groups started and then set them up as open sub-forums under THIS "Canadian Members" forum so we will have an all in one "community".

I suggest you choose the group type as: "Public", and not select the group option: "Users must join to view the content" for convenience sake.

i see, that sonds good...i'd volunteer, but i might choose to become a supplier someday & i'm guessing that'd be a problem since they'd have to delete all my posts or whatever & i'd have to change my sig, etc...somebody who's been vaping for much longer should do it up anyways any toronto/gta members want to set one up? i suggest someone who's likely to show up at most of the vape get togethers...
