I just ordered a 510t starter kit and it should be here this week. Didn't want to get something to expensive in case vaping doesn't cut it. I am not a heavy smoker (1/2 pack a day). From doing a bunch of reading on here -which is super helpful btw- seems like lots of ppl go with an ego. Does anyone have suggestions for a good setup after my 510t gets me started. Something that doesn't require a lot of tinkering. I am all about flavor, throat hit and the amount of vapor aren't a huge thing for me. I smoke cigarettes because of the nicotine haha. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Start out slow and don't get overwhelmed or buy a bunch of stuff that you don't need yet. You'll want to get something like an MVP with variable voltage and wattage for a battery. Kanger evods and protanks are good, simple and inexpensive items to get the hang of it before you start investing in more expensive stuff. I have 7 Kanger tanks, an iClear 30 and a cheap bridgeless atomizer for dripping so far. Been at it for about four months and only tonight successfully rebuilt my first coil. Good luck and happy vaping.

I was you 2 months ago. At 1/2 pack a day, vaping 12mg liquid will definitely cut it. You won't look back. Congrats.

I got the ego-C twist/ iclear 16 starter kit when I started. The only thing I have done to change my setup is ditch the plastic clearomizers and switch to using a couple Kanger Protank mini IIs. Pyrex and stainless, great airflow, no leaks, awesome vapor taste/production. You can really taste the difference in gourmet juices. At $16, they are a steal, and they always come with a replacement coil head.

I ordered vanilla juice and a cupcake one for my sweet tooth. I am not a huge fan of fruit flavored anything. I am in canada so there are a few suppliers ive found within the country. I definitely appreciate any advice and thank you for the warm welcome! Xo

You're in canada , cool. Are you on Facebook? We have a great Canadian Vapers Facebook group. It's closed but I don't think getting an invite sent out to you would be that hard.

Message me your name on Facebook if you'd like to do that.

As for hardware, canvape is a good place to start in canada for a solid starter kit. I have a feeling that by 510t kit you mean a small cigalike one. That's what I started on too and I knew pretty quickly I'd need something better. I used it for two weeks successfully though.

In my experience if vaping isnt cutting it the set up needs work. You might miss cigarettes on an emotional or physical level, I still miss having that zippo in my pocket. But as a nicotine delivery system a proper pv can knock you on your bum.

I would strongly urge you in the direction of a VV or VW setup. Especially if you are worried about your ability to quit, it will allow you to fine tune with relative ease your vaping experience. Hotter/Cooler, more flavor/more vapor. My recommendation would be an Innokin iTaste V3. Its 3-6volts and you can vape by wattage instead which is just convenient. It will also tell you battery levels and resistance. Both handy, takes the guess work out of it. I ordered one for my sister earlier this evening in fact.

If thats not a route you wish to go in, my 2nd choice would be a Spinner. Almost everyone ive talked to prefers those over the EGO Twist, and you still get a VV setup with a 510 connection.

Tops, cant go wrong with ProTanks.

thats my 2 cents.

Get a iTaste MVP (better battery life) or a iTaste VV 3 (more portable) and a Kanger Mini Protank II. That's what I started with. You can get both of this pretty cheap. Main thing is find a juice you like. That's my 2 :2c:

The term "dont fix it if it aint broken" is often overlooked by a majority of people. When you get your initial setup and if you like it, there is no need to even progress into vv/vw, or mods, or mechs if you dont want. If you feel like you need an upgrade after a while, worry about it then. My wife has been using the same $10 offbrand KGO battery for the last 4 months and has been perfectly happy with that setup. The only thing she might change is add a mini protank because they use the same coils as my PT2.(Less crap to buy)

I started dabbling with cigalikes 2 years ago. The variable voltage is a huge step up from those. I used the vision 1300 mah spinners and they work great. They have both 510 and ego threads. Like chadsmo posted, a 1.8 ohm head on your tank of choice at 3.7 volts gives you a consistant vape with little fuss. Good luck and welcome!

A standard 3.7v Ego and 1.8 ohm resistance EVODs is a pretty decent setup that is very affordable and pretty simple to use . I'd link to some stuff but unless you're in Canada it won't be of much help.

Could you link me some info on how to get something like this? More importantly what to get lol
