Hello all..
My name is Robert and I am very much new to the vaping world. I will be looking to make my first vape purchase on Monday and I am still trying to figure out what to buy. I am looking for something that can make decent clouds, gives me a good flavor, and is simple to take care of. As of now I feel the Aspire Nautilus Mini with the MVP 20Watt is the thing for me. I am wondering if their is any way to improve my set up so that I can maximize my vaping on this setup.

Thanks and and enjoy your vaping!

Sounds like you want to blow some clouds.. The gear that you posted about will allow you to do that, and is good to start out with since the device has safety features. Safety is VERY important in vaping, so please look around the site for information on ohms law, battery safety, and popular, safe devices. There is a member here who goes by the name Baditude, who has blogs on all this information.. Be sure to check it out.

That setup is a very good start, I think id future proof myself a bit though, you may...probably will want to get into Subtanks,(Kanger is the best for me) start lung hitting, get addicted to trying different flavours ect, when this happens, there is no going back...but lets rewind a bit..
The Nautilus Mini is a great starting point, the best in my opinion but id get myself an Eleaf Istick 30W for the reasons above..then if you want to advance it wont cost as much.. I would never recommend a Subtank as a first kit though..(sub ohm)

Hi, and welcome to ECF!

Not sure what you're looking at with that. The iStick is one brand, the MVP is from Innokin, another company. If the Innokin MVP 20, good choice. If the iStick 20, not so good, as it uses "mean" voltage regulation and runs VERY hot, especially at the lower end. The IStick 30 is good, though, and uses RMS regulation.

Many like the Nautilus - but whatever topper you get, be sure to get some spare coils / heads for it. They don't last forever, and you don't want to be caught without backups!

I was very confused about all types of ohms, watts, and volts. I may head over to that blog for a little education on this types of things.

Howdy, welcome to the ECF!

What uh, what do you mean by this:

I just reworded by post. I meant how can I get the best vape out of this setup or is their another setup I could get for the same price that is better.

I was looking at the eleaf iStick and the kanger and I was pretty impressed. May be the top end of my price range. Also what confused me about that was the sub ohms. Can you please explain to me what I have to do to maintain a setup like that.
Thanks

Eleaf istick 20w served me well. It has a pass through, is very light, and durable as well. If you have a local brick and mortar, check them out for tank ideas, you won't really get a frustration-free device until you know the ins and outs of it, and start rebuilding you own tank or dripper. Nothing worse than needing to replace a prebuilt coil and having to wait for one in the mail :\

I mean, I use a Nautilus Mini as a back-up, and the 20W MVP or iStick (either one, your choice) is definitely a good choice to power it.

However, I am a fortune teller. A soothsayer of sorts. A Vape Wizard. And I can see your future... And in the future.. You will want to upgrade. It's a few months from now, and you're thinking, "Maybe I should have gone with the iStick 50W and a Kanger Subtank."

Hmmm...

istick 30w and kanger subtank, you can start out with the 1.2 coils versus the .5. Those coils can easily be rebuilt as well, the mini comes with a deck should you decide you want to build your own. Great starter kit with room for growth. I say 30w versus the 50w because I own all 3 and the 30w seems to be the most consistant. Vapesupersaver.com has great prices as well as myvaporstore.com. The ipv mini is a nice device as well just a little more costly.

Yep I am defiantly planning on buying coils for whatever tank I get. Don't want to run out and then I can't vape!!!!

I agree with what you say, but doesn't every vapor want a better setup!!!! Right now I am looking around to see the best product for me and I am looking to stick with that for a little while.

I am looking at the kanger protank and istick and I am very interested. Hoping it is in my price range.

Usually I'd never recommend this to anyone starting out vaping but it's a little safer these days with the new mods ect..

First thing you need to know is that you can't use the Kanger for mouth to lung hits, which basically means, like you would smoke a normal cigarette, some will say you can but there's no point, you may as well get a Nautilus Mini if your going to do that. The Subtank is designed with a lot of air flow so you can lung hit, you take the vapour straight to the lungs and then exhale out, sounds a bit weird but the flavour and vape clouds you get are fab...you will never go back..
As for Sub ohm ect, I'd strongly advise you read, then read some more, go view some youtube vids ect..

I wouldn't recommend the protank. Go with the nautilus or nautilus mini instead, or perhaps the kanger subtank with the 1.2 ohm coils.

Between the istick30 and the MVP20 I'd recommend the MVP, but that's more of a personal preference. I think you'll like either one.

ETA: And the MVP 3.0, better still.

No problem - we all were at one time!

And these days, so many with such similar names, easy to get confused. MVP 20 is a solid device, and unlike the earlier versions of the MVP, will go to 20 watts.

I think I may do the eleaf 30 with a kanger. I was wondering what a good website is for buying coils for the kanger subtank. I think I will do the 1.2 ohm coils. Do I need to buy new coils when they run out or do I need to build my own?

The MVP2.0 only goes up to 11 watts and was great a year ago. The newer MVP3.0 ($55) goes to 30 watts and I love all three of my Innokin MVPs. They are a couple more ounces and a touch bigger, but they are solidly built to take some abuse.

I don't see many (if any) posts about them having problems.

I don't know about either the MVP 3 or the eleaf 30. The eleaf is cheaper and so many people love it.

And vid I check out from time to time:

Great video and very educational. Learnt a lot about all types of vapes.

I hear all types of things about the MVP 20 and the eleaf 30. Half the people I hear like the MVP and the other half like the eleaf. It's basically just a toss up for me.
