So i have been off smoking for about a year and a half. This might sound a bit odd. I do NOT crave nicotine but what i do miss is puffing the smoke and blowing it out. From what i hear about e-cigs is that its just vapor and it has no tobacco in it. There are some companies that have "No Nicotine" as a one of their choices. So if i was to purchase an E-cig that had no nicotine in it, would if be safe? I just want to smoke one for the flavors, not the nicotine or the tobacco.

I would suggest just buying some pg, and some vg, then a few flavors. That is essentially what you will be paying for if you buy pre-mixed, but at less than half the price. Heres a few links...

Wholesale Kosher USP Propylene Glycol: Food Grade Gycol & Liquid PG

100% Pure USP Vegetable Glycerin: Food Grade VG Liquid | Buy Vegetable Glycerin

Liquid Food Flavoring & Flavor Concentrate by Flavor Apprentice | E-Liquid Flavoring

I will also add, that the pg can be purchased at tractor supply for $20/gallon and vg can be purchased at rite-aid or walmsrt for about $6/4oz

And I would have to disagree with the above statement that vaping without nic you wont feel anything... the nic is not the only thing that gives that "smoke" feeling. The pg, and flavorings help with throat hit, and the vg IMHO helps with the lung hit.

That's awesome you quit! Good job, I mean seriously, good job. That is freaking hard.

As to your question, I interpret it to mean you want something that will give you the appearance of smoking without any of the "drug" components of smoking.

But, I don't know, I feel like there's something I'm not getting. If you've already quit, why do want to have the appearance of smoking?

If you just want to look like a smoker without being one, I guess get an cigalike. The eRoll is probably the best.

Well, nobody can guarantee you it's perfectly safe. Vaping hasn't been around all that long (especially up against how long tobacco has been around). The jury is still out. But it's got to be a lot safer than cigs. I'd say if you think the need for the "ritual" might pull you back into smoking, yes, vaping is better. Lots of companies have 0 nic options. You'd have plenty of options.

And doesn't sound odd at all to me. I still like smoking. I always have. That's probably why nothing like patches or gum ever worked for me. I need my "ritual". It's a big, big part of my attachment to smoking. And vaping gives me that. Heh, I'm blowing clouds of vapor as I write this post.

It's a decision you'll have to make for yourself. There's a lot we just don't know. PG and VG (the base liquids in vaping) are considered very, very safe. They're used in tons of consumer products, many of which you probably use every day. But vaporizing and inhaling them? That's kind of new. Maybe there are risks we don't yet know about?

But if you're an ex-smoker feeling that "pull" and think you may fall back into smoking, yeah, vaping is the far better choice...
