Totally New

Hey all!

I'm totally new to ECF but I've been reading the forums for about 2 weeks now, gathering information and Guest-stalking everyone MUHAHAHAHAHA!

But now I've finally ordered my first PV and am anxiously waiting for it to arrive! It's a KR808D which may be on the outs but it was a relatively cheep way to try this out.


I did have a few follow-up questions that I haven't really seen answers to yet. What exactly does a "Drip Tip" do? Can I use plain tap water in my PV or is it only Glycerol? Is it wise to get a larger bottle of PG or VG or both for when I'm just sitting around the computer and want to smoke but don't want to use too much of my flavor?

I'm sure there are more that will come to me as I progress in my vaping journey.

It has to do with resistance in an electrical route.

A drip tip on a carto is really just a nice comforable mouthpiece. On an atomizer without a cartridge, it allows the user to drip a few drops directly on the atty every few hits to keep it wet.

I only use tap water to clean attys. I've never tried vaping it. I've read where some vape straight PG or VG for the amusement. Sounds boring to me.

You can use water to clean your atomizer but I wouldnt think that you would use it to vape. Water and heat would produce steam not vape. vg would produce vapor and you could always add some extract flavor that you can get at a store to save on your juice. Most extracts have pg in them and you could play around with the flavors. Some people find pg irritating to the throat so I wouldnt buy anything in big volume until you know it doesnt bother you.

With most Kr808's you use a cartomizer. Unless you purchase an atomizer, you don't really drip with a KR808.

Most people purchase premade juice. It contains flavorings, nicotine and your base, usually a mixture of pg/vg. If you want juice without nicotine, many juice manufacturers have zero nicotine juice.

Swedishfish - Yes I currently am an analog smoker, Trying to quit by vaping... though it kinda seems like I'm gonna be trading one addiction for another.... Ah well this addiction will be funner

Off Topic - Yeah that's what I kind of thought it was. The new one I'm getting has a carto so, I think I'll see how it feels before getting more accessories. As for the amusement, I love to smoke, it's one of my top 3 favorite things to do. So I'm just worried that I will use all my juice before I can afford more LOL

Get lots of small bottles till you find out what flavors you like. Then, stock up. Start with strong juice--18 to 24mg. This will help you break the cravings for the stink sticks.

You could vape VG I guess but I doubt if it will taste very good and it's very thick.

You can get Vg at walmart for about $2.50, Humco brand, I found it in the beauty section, but others have found it elsewhere. I sometimes add food flavorings to give it something, but only use ones that have no oils or sugar, they can clog your atty or carto, as do dark flavors. If you check out the DIY forums, you can learn more

or ask questions in here, and you will find loads of answers. You can save a bundle with DIY juices, and have fun doing it (at least I do).
