I just received an email from Totally Wicked about a sale on their new Torpedo VVV. It looks very similar to the lavatube. Is it actually the same thing just re-branded? The price for the kit is identical to what the lavatube kit sells for. Is there any difference between the two?

Yes exactly the same,I dont know how much they are charging but from what people are posting you seem to be able to get it for about $80 in the US !! Im sure others will post the best prices

lol its got about 20 different names now and therefore I suppose they are all exclusive to each Vendor !!! somebody posted it was $85 with free shipping from Nhaler in the US (maybe even cheaper with a discount code)

Greenhouseone has the complete Lava Tube kit for $65(usd) but they're out of China and I'm not sure what the shipping fees are. Still...that's a great price!

I noticed they have 3 and 6ml DC tanks too. Are those Smoktechs?

I know they're overpriced but it's convenient for those with local Totally Wicked vendors, like myself.

Be careful with the DC tanks the one I bought for use with the Boge Cart was too long,and LT doesn't really do Dual Coil very well from the reports I have seen on the Forum think it knocks the Voltage down to 3.7v if I remember correctly !!!! Im sure someone will post better info on this !!

I picked up my kit from Nhaler, came with 2 batteries. It is currently my favorite vaping device. I only noticed it while looking to buy a Darwin. Good deal used a coupon, no tax and free shipping.

The tanks should work just fine with most any xl sized metal carto, single coil or dc. Smoktech among others make single coil xl cartos. And, I've even seen xl sized boge cartos for sale from healthcabin, although I haven't yet seen those available from a stateside vendor.

An L-Rider v1.0 Vtube in a kit for $85.00 from TotallyWicked???

Consider a Young-June v2.0 Chrome Vtube kit for $75.00 from VaporBeast or iVape. Lower price, newer and much better device (3.9 amp limit, eGo-style connector, atty/carto resistance checking, all-metal construction).

Some vendors seem to count on people not doing their consumer due diligence.


Note: Testing is not confirming the 3.9 amp limit on the Young-June Chrome v2.0. Looks to be the same as the earlier v1.5 and v1.5t---3.2 amps. Sorry to have passed on what now appears to be bogus information.

Ive been a little disappointed in Totally Wicked, 2/3 orders had problems with the functionality of the items purchased. Both of which were tanks. One was leaking liquid and the other one had the bottom of the cartomizer sealed where it should be open. Unfortunately, such mistakes are easily remedied by quality checking items before shipping out.

Every vendor makes mistakes now and again, but 2 out of 3 failures is somewhat making me leary of ordering from them again.

On an up note, customer service was good and the items were replaced.

Also on another note, I have had good luck and dealings with vaporbeast.com. Their LT clone has been exceptional and without fault, but like mentioned above, quite a bit more cost effective.
