Does anybody else have a sorta beat up Reo? I love my Grand and it's still vapin like a champ, but I've only had it for like two weeks and already dropped it on asphalt a few times, lol clumsy me. It's really only got a few dents and knicks near the edges, but nothing to actually break anything except the perfection. At first I was devestated :(, but after thinking about it, (and having named it Skillet for the popping atty/carto sounds and the black/black color) it makes it MINE, ya know? Just like an old worn in cast iron skillet. I've read about how tough these feel and seem to be built, but who owns a Reo that has "taked a lickin and keeps tickin"?

One Reonaut dropped theirs off of a fast moving Motorcycle onto pavement or rocks.

Reos are poor swimmers (they all sink) but I do have some that like to try to swim in my spa. For the metals I just pop the battery and bottle out (atty off too) and give it a soak in distilled water to get spa chems well out of firing mechanism box. Then a dunk in alcohol to dry out faster. Let dry and all clean and dandy.

I prefer using one of my wood 801 Reos in the spa, though, as I can stay in spa, dry off with a microfibre towel, blow out the 801, and only miss a tiny beat. I keep the woods well saturated with Howard's Fees and wax on bare, unfinished wood and Howard's Sun oil on outside.

I'm really anxious to get an 801 fully stabilized Midi Woodvil, as my Star Swim Team Member, as there will be no worries at all when he decides to swim.

Warning..... If you are letting them "swim" in a body of water other than a pool or spa they have to have a life jacket.

Wow, yeah, I was just walkin down some concrete stairs when my grand decided to jump out of my ankle pocket of my Air Force uniform. It only fell like a foot, but it bounced down 2 steps and then slid across the asphalt at the bottom. Bummer. 2 or 3 days later I just dropped it onto a road while carrying too many things, lol. My poor Skillet looks worse than the Green Hornet pictures, but like I said, it's officially MINE and still blows me away at every vape. ALL HAIL THE REO!!!
