Serendipity's Tribute:

Pear 15%
Lychee 4%
Cinnamon 1%

Notes: add 1 drop Smooth for every 10 ml. //// if you like forward cinnamon bump to 2%

A little confused. Is Smooth part of the recipe or just an add on like "forward cinnamon bump to 2%" and not familiar with the term "forward".

I actually have all of those. :)

What does it taste like?

Pear (slightly modified and complimented by the lychee) on the inhale and cinnamon on the exhale. I was attempting to replicate a vendors very popular juice. The cinnamon can be strong for some and I would start this off at .5% and add if you like more of a cinnamon finish.

How would you compare cinnamon to cinnamon Red Hots? Stronger, more bite???

Smooth is optional and I find it should be added sparingly. It does not add much to the flavor profile but brings it all together. If I make 5 ml. I leave it out. I do add it at a rate of 1 drop every 10 ml. Forward is a wine tasting description and describes flavor or part of a mix that becomes dominant. In this case more cinnamon will bring this flavor out front and maybe overpowering the others. Perhaps I should have numbered my notes to make them distinct

Your note makes sense now. Like to learn new terms.

Don't know, haven't tried cinnamon red hots. I would assume the cinnamon I use is a bit more subtle. In either case if you have ever cooked with cinnamon (like Italian sauces) cinnamon is used sparingly as it can over power everything else.
You're right the Cinnamon will overpower everything!
I usually use the TFA Cinnamon @ .5%

TFA Cinnamon doesn't have Eugenol Red Hots does

michaelsil1, sorry but, from TFA:
"water soluble - reformulated - no PG
a more complex cinnamon than our Cinnamon Redhots blend
This flavor is a nice well-rounded cinnamon.
for a more powerful cinnamon, we have a Cinnamon Spice Flavor too.

Ingredients:Artificial Flavor, Ethyl Alcohol"

Some can't have Alcohol.

I'm not sure what your question is.

Sorry, mis read. What is "Eugenol" ?

That's the Clove Flavor

There is more to it than that, but that was the highlight.

Finding just a plain old Cinnamon flavor is hard because most manufacturers put Eugenol in it.

The TFA Cinnamon is just plain Cinnamon.
