I added one drop of koolada to one of my daily vapes, strawberry vanilla sweet cream, it now has an almost butterscotch flavor, not sure if anyone else has gotten this reaction, it's not horrible but it just tastes funny now, I only have like 3mls of it left so I am gonna finish it but it has turned me off of the koolada a bit. Any similar issues?

Koolada is not supposed to have any real flavor of its own but rather add cooling notes. So what this means is it has reacted to one of the other flavors in your mix. This can happen with any recipe or any flavor. Sometimes they(flavors) just don't play well with each other.

The TFA single flavor list suggests: "Clove Flavor 2-3%". Of course, YMMV. I've purchased Clove but have not mixed yet.

TFA Clove

7% TFA CLOVE

Quick steep then set for 4 days.
Palatable with clove notes

I couldn't find anything recommended in the forum as far as % straight clove. If you know any other clove recipies, point me in the direction. I will try the zzxxyy one next.

I always do a 70% VG. I'm still pretty novice myself but VG is known for muting flavor. I would keep uping and steeping and tasting until it is right for you. I might step it down to 6% next time. I tried a couple single flavor recipes and used the suggested amount and it just didn't do it for me. Like I said, try and see what works for you but from what I've read, too much flavor can mute the flavor out also.

Here is my first contribution to this list. I've been vaping this so much that I'm having to mix 120ml at a time just to last 2 weeks... kayfun ES and low ohms helps to make this go quick for me.

I'm calling this Double Apple Pie...

Apple Pie Flavor TFA 10%
Apple Flavor TFA 10%
Pie Crust TFA 2%
Caramel (Original) TFA 2%
ACV 2 drops per 5 ml

Benefits well from a a hot water bath and curing for a few days for the flavors to come out. At about 10 days, it's perfect for me, but I'm finding I'm a bit of a flavor junkie. Very vapable for me after the HWB. Not bad before IMO.

I mix for myself 50/50 at 6mg/10mg depending on mood.

I've had a few friends try this latest mix and they all loved it.
I'd like to get experienced DIY vaper's opinions on it since it's my first original mix.

This recipe was obviously meant for me since I'm eating a piece of freshly-baked apple pie right this second. AND...I think I have all the flavors.

Sounds great!!

Do let me know if you mix it. I'm very interested in getting others thoughts on it. Especially since I've just been slapped with a case of vaper's tongue...

Someone a ways back in this thread suggested using TFA Raspberry in a TFA Blueberry Wild recipe. Well guess what? I've been struggling trying to get a good blueberry recipe for almost a year. The TFA Raspberry was *SPOT ON* for making this single flavor Blueberry recipe work.

Now... I've also seen the advice to add a little strawberry to recipes.

I've been working on an apple recipe, too. Not happy yet. Does anyone out there have that missing ingredient (as in Raspberry for Blueberry) to light off my single flavor apple recipe? I have no idea what's missing from my apple - it just isn't really good.

Thank you!!!

I don't see an option to do this on their site. How/where did you find it?

When you go to their site and click on "The Flavor Apprentice" box.....6 boxes will come up.....the top left one is the "flavoring box" you would normally choose...BUT DONT........click on the lower right box which says BULK SIZES..... :)

5 bucks for a one ounce size ...........or 8 bucks for 4 ounce size.......for most juices.

The question is......will you ever use 4 OZ ?

For me, there are about 8 to 10 flavors I will definatley use in 4 OZ size over the course of 5 to 6 months............but Ive got some 1/4 oz bottles that Ill rarely or never use...

Perfumers Apprentice - The Flavor Apprentice - World of Flavors

I saw that but I was wondering if there are purchase requirements when you upgrade. Like so many purchases within a time frame or minimum orders?
