Is there any difference between EM and sweetener?. I thought they were both the same.
You have already received good answers to your question, but the one thing not mentioned (and what I think you may be thinking of), it is EM and Cotton Candy (at least TPA/TFA's) that are both EM (per TFA's web site; "This is made from ethyl maltol, diluted to 10% in PG").
Whereas their Sweetener is made from sucralose.
For what its worth... ;)

The Flavor Apprentice: Finally found my mango!

1 of 3 in my All Day vape Cycle: (probably something similar around here, but this is what I like):

Pango Berry Cream:

Mango = 7%ish
Peach (Juicy) ≤ 5%
Strawberry (Ripe) = 2-3%
Bavarian Cream ≤ 4%
***Optional*** Sweet Cream = 1-2%

Takes a good 4 days to blend really well after heating/shaking for a pre-steep the day it's made. Bavarian Cream is a tricky sauce

I have heard that EM can be "coil poppers". In other words, hard on the coils. Has anyone here had that experience? One reason I have avoided using EM very often.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I use EM at 2.5% in my tobacco mixes. Smooths things out nicely. In terms of gunking, I've tried all my mixes without EM and had about the same results. My normal builds, 1 ohm kanthal and .26 ohm Ti, both on 3mm mandrels and wicked with rayon, can go as high as 300ml before needing a rebuild. 150 or 200ml is my normal rebuild point though.

A few recipes of my own, all tfa, max VG(no added pg other than nicotine and flavors).I may or may not have been the first to come up with the names, so my apologies if credit isn't given where its due, its just what I call my juice!:( I try to stay away from diketones and the chemicals that tfa warns "may have trace amounts of stuff with byproducts that may contain trace amounts of diketones" , but i dont stick to that 100%. If a flavor mentioned has a dx version, im using that. I usually make these between 3 and 6mg/nic:

Caranana Bread:
Banana but bread 10%
Caramel 2%
Simple but good, hot water bath for an hour and a few good shakes and she's done!

Buttercream 9:
Bavarian Cream 2%
Butterscotch 5%
Maple syrup 5%
Van. Bean ice cream 2%
Toasted almond 1%
Hazelnut 1%
Graham Cracker clear 1%
Pralines and cream 1%
Pie crust 1%
This stuff takes a WHILE to steep. Was considering tossing after first try but came back in about a month and its not bad at all!

Lemonazing:
Lemon 6%
Pie crust 3%
Hazelnut 3%
Van. Bean ice cream 2%
Bavarian cream 2%
Sweet cream 2%
Frosted donut 2%
Graham cracker clear 2%
I just shook it up good and it was "lemonazing" right then! Only got better with steeping.:(gone in 2 days though

Cosmic fog milk n honey clone:
Toasted almond 1%
Pecan 1%
Hazelnut 4%
Van. Custard 5%
Hot water bath 1 hr, shake frequently. Its not exact but its pretty darn close IMO.

That's it for now, let me know what ya think, I've got quite a few more to share...

I second mammabird62, gonna whip up a batch of your Lemonazing later tonight, looks tasty!
Are you using all TPA/TFA flavorings in these recipes? The reason I ask is I don't see "Buttercream" on the TFA website.

I too don't notice a difference in coil gunking with, or without, EM. I don't believe I have used it above 3% though; so I'm not sure what higher percentages may do.

Been playing with this mix for a few days. Really tasty. Made for a friend that likes that space jam juice Andromeda. Im not huge into just fruity vapes so I added my own creaminess, and it taste almost spot on. All TFA. I call it Rockslide after the friend I made it for. Haven't made a juice this tasty in a while

Blueberry pom Juice
5% strawberry ripe
3% pomegranate
5 % blueberry wild
2% whipped cream
3% vanilla custard
1.5% sweet cream

My first recipe was all TFA. Was trying to clone Jugheads Jokesmoke and was pretty much ready to give up when a total screw up ending up being the missing link.

I accidently mixed up when I went to add my flavouring and grabbed TFA Smooth instead. Figured I might as well make the best of a bad situation and added the flavouring and presto!

Jokesmoke (I think the joke is that it uses less than 5% flavouring and one of those flavours is an additive)!!

Cotton Candy (Circus) TFA 2.2%
Smooth TFA 2%
Menthol TFA (1 drop/10ml-ish)
Optional: 1 drop lemon juice/10ml

It's light and a great vape for those days where everything tastes like crap.

Buttercream 9 is the name of the recipe. Its the only butterscotch recipe I've been able to tolerate(hate when I get some flavors that I end up wasting cause some are just gross, ry4 Asian for example IMO smells/vapes like... well if u have kids and they wet the bed and that smell of the room was put in a bottle, I call it bed piss flavor lol). Anyways, yeah the name before the %, called buttercream 9 because it uses 9 flavors

Thanks for the clarification... and sorry for being so dense. I should have picked up on that.
I'm vaping your Lemonazing as I type; and it's pretty tasty. I didn't have any glazed donut so I omitted it and did add two drops of real lemon juice (in a 15 ml. batch). The flavor is nice and light. It reminds me of a cross between a lemon meringue pie (without the meringue... which is a plus in my book) and a lemon bar. This will be on my repeat list. Good job. Thanks for sharing.:thumb:
