Per usual, I was making a TPA purchase, but today I noticed their phone number on the bottom of the page. It was a bit disconcerting to realize that we share the same area code. I even had to google it to make sure, even though I've had this area code for ten years. Long story long, I live thirty minutes away. All these damn shipping costs, and I could drive there.

It would be curious to know if I could ship their products less expensively than they do to other diy-ers.

Making up a shopping list :D

Cheers,
Steve

With flat rate shipping from the USPS, it makes sense that it would be cheaper. Plus, they allow people to place orders, pay, and then pick it up. How cool. People could order and pay, and then I could pick it up and ship. I'm going to go there this weekend and scope it out.

Does USPS allow shipping of liquids for flat rate? I'll have to look it up.

USPS doesn't allow any shipment of alcohol. I'm not sure if that includes food flavorings since it's in some. They won't allow perfume shipments, so it's pretty strict.

That's weird I get flavors delivered all the time from USPS and my wife orders perfume all the time and it gets delivered usps.

Yeah, I noticed they were in Scotts Valley. I used to live in Santa Cruz and worked in Scotts Valley. I'm guessin' you're in San Jose, no? Still probably cheaper for shipping unless you're planning an excursion over the hill anyway. If you're like me, more temptation isn't necessary. Happy vaping.

I'm just south of Santa Cruz, and bf and I love going there for all the yummy food. There's actually a store that fixes old paintings in SV, so I've been meaning to go for awhile. This is the perfect excuse.

You no longer live in the area?

I know no one out here who vapes. As a previous smoker and current teacher, I'm alone in vaping and diy.

USPS doesn't have an issue with food flavorings. The alcohol shipment ban, from what the local PO told me, applies to actual alcohol, as in a bottle of Jack Daniels (or other liquor), beer etc. Anything that can, might, could, or has potential to explode or catch fire under minimal heat, as most alcohols will in some way, shape or form, is what they are concerned with. Aerosols are the next biggest thing.

I normally call in the AM when they open to have them hold my packages for pick-up and I've been having a record number of flavors from various companies coming in as of the past 2-3 months, sometimes as many as 100 in a single order (smaller bottles, not gallon jugs or anything like that, but big enough for their larger flat-rate boxes). Never had any questions asked, but they also know me pretty well from my unrelated-to-vaping business venture and I'm in there at least 5-10 times a week just for that.
