I have an order from Eastmall in shipment. I received shipping notice on 3/31. I have received the same tracking now for about 48 hours, like it has not even moved. I have never tracked anything from China before so not sure of their terms used. The "Dispatch from sorting center" the last entry, does that mean it is on the way or setting there? Just curious.

After it hits the US, do I use the same tracking nubmer with UPS?

It means that it left the sorting center in China at one o'clock this morning (Chinese time).

Whether or not it will have another stop in China, or head straight to the U.S., I'm not entirely sure. Never ordered from Eastmall.

When ordering from Ruyan Direct, my packages made it to San Francisco in one day, and spend a varying amount of time in customs (the fastest it left customs was 2 hours).

You can continue to use the same tracking number, but I think you'll be needing to look at the U.S. Postal Service. Every overseas order I made has run through USPS, and not UPS.

SexI, check on the Eastmall site for a tracking information after it get to the US, I use Bestecigs and they have trcking for before it leaves china and then there is another place to track it after it leaves China on their web site. Their stuff is ship EMS/proity mail.

I have seen where someone posted the tracking from eastmall after it got to USA just don't remember where.

Next stop should be US customs. You should now be able to track with USPS, as you would with any US package.

That is all you will get on that end.
You need to go to usps.com and enter your tracking number there.
It will stop in customs for up to 24hrs, then the next message you should get is it at your local post office out for delivery to you.

I could never get anything from David's tracking info. The stuff just eventually showed up.

So now it goes to customs next? I know most of the time the USPS site really doesn't track well........ it will tell me delivered a couple days after I already have something in my hand, but nothing in between. How can I tell when it gets to customs & released, (fingers crossed)?

It will say something like "arrived at JFK" or something pertaining to the US. It also might then say "handed over to customs". Don't worry about that....it's pretty standard procedure.

It will sit there a couple of days. After that, I seem to only get an update once it arrives at my post office. But then again, I am in NY State too so it doesn't take long to get to me from JFK.

I realize this is the weekend now, but this order was posted in China on April 1st. (Ordered on March 30th from Eastmall, so shipped on 2nd day). When I check usps website with tracking I still get the exact same info as above, leading me to believe it has not even made it to the US yet? To customs yet? I figured by air no longer then 24-36 hours for an updated status on it getting to customs in the US....... Hope it is not on a slow boat from China LOL. I figured I would have the order in about 5-8 working days from shipping date........ not counting Sunday, I am on day 4 now of working days.

Is this time frame normal or am I just impatient with a first order coming from China?

Well it depends when the package got on a plane. It could be delayed or whatever. I would guess wait 2 more business days and it should be IN the USA. Couple more to deliver, you know how slow ups goes sometimes its fast sometimes slowwwww

so far i have had no trouble with eastmall , but i try to forget that order exists its like christmas when it shows up...

Personally, I'd give it a couple more days. Although not received by customs yet sounds a little longer than usual to me, it might pop up on there tomorrow, since it's Monday. If no change by Tues, I'd contact David to see if it even left China yet.

I order stuff all the time from overseas china japan india sometimes someone forgets to scan it along its journey i've had packages just show up when the usps site says it left the country i ordered from i've had packages say there in customs here and actually there at my front door the tracking system isn't allways right.. hope this helps..

That is sort of my thoughts also. I have/had 5 packages coming, 4 from US & this one from Eastmall.

One package has already gotten here from PS. Noted he is in Tn now, I am in Missouri so we are fairly close. USPS does not show it as delivered yet & never updated the tracking on it in route.

Package 2 also from PS will be delivered tomorrow, but usps does have it updated as leaving Kansas City yesterday.

2 other small orders coming from different places, one tracks & shows progress & one does not.

Will feel better after it is through here LOL....... Just nervous I guess knowing this stuff might be getting hard to come by.

Hmmm...let's see...didn't I say?

I've ordered probably 20 times from China (bestecig, Yang and CT...not counting ebay) and it has never not said "received in US or by customs", whatever....never. And actually, I've never heard anyone say that before here either. Not that it can't happen but normally, it will at least say it was received in the US somewhere along the line. If it didn't within a week of China's shipping out, then yes, I would be concerned.

I have had packages from Bestecig go thru customs. you have to go to the url in the paragaraph for EMS at bestecigs to track package after it get to USA. I got the package before it had changed to out of customs. can't rely on those tracking things.

You can actually use the USPS tracking site once it hits the US.
