Travel and Vaping Transpacific flight and my REO

So I'm going to be going on a transpacific flight (11+hrs) on Korean Air. I'm planning to bring my REO Grand + Chalice and a bottle of juice. I'll have my extra bottle of juice in my check-in luggage but I want to just carry on my REO/Chalice set-up.

I've read a few threads where people separate the atomizer from the PV, take out the battery and liquid. Would I really run into any trouble if I just had the whole thing in my pocket then put it through the carry on tray during check-in all assembled?

That's exactly what I do and never had any problems with TSA.

I didn't think so either but there was a post TSA confiscating an eGo. What kind of set-up were you bringing?
