I fly about every 2 months. I pack most of my stuff in my luggage, but always carry one APV and a tank with me. Make sure that you put the tank in a separate plastic bag, even if you add it to your "liquid" bag. Depending on air pressure, the tank can leak.

They've never even questioned me about any of my stuff.

I've only seen a vaper pulled aside once. That was in a regional airport and he carried an assembled box mod with filled protank. I travel frequently, go through security with my disassembled stuff in my carry on, juice in the obligatory baggie, yada yada. I've never been stopped. Once through the bs security I fill a mini protank and stealth vape right in my seat. Everyone around me is usually focused on their tablet, laptop, sleeping or whatever.

A few tips...

Disassemble the setup prior to security.

Tank in baggie with other liquids. Ditto for juice bottle (make sure it's <100 ml).

Batteries must be in carry-on, not in checked luggage if you have any - moot if battery is internal.

Mod anywhere in carry-on bag.

With over 20 flights, 6 countries, a dozen airports (including Chicago), and 50 times through security, I've never been asked a single question.

I was asked to open my bag once, so they could check my K100 was an e-cig, which they thought it was without my telling them. I understood that; it's a rather odd shape. No other problems, and that includes once to the States and once to Panama, where e-cigs are banned from sale and import for sale, via the Netherlands.

e-liquid in your carry-on must be in the 1 litre baggy with your other liquids and gells.

Lithium batteries not in devices must be in carry-on and must be in either retail packaging or packaging that offers the same protection against short-circuiting. That's an international airlines regulation, not just a rule of thumb or a local thing.

Many, many times flying since I started vaping. I lay my PV's on top of my purse so they can see them as they go through the x-ray machine. Batteries ALWAYS in my carry on, but then ALL my PV stuff goes in my carry on. God forbid they should lose my luggage (which has happened a couple of times previously).

They are pretty knowledgeable about PVs and ecigs. I even go through security with a tank attached to my PV. No issues.

Have fun on your trip! :)

I fly frequently and have never had a problem. I do not disassemble anything and usually have several PV and tanks in my purse. Everything else is in carry-on. I have never had a problem and they have never asked to look through my things.

The last trip--I had the chance to talk to several of the TSA agents at the 'smoking' area where we were all having one last vape before going in the airport. They were all very familiar with all sorts of equipment and enjoyed looking and asking me about mine. :).

Just a tip--while flying turn your tanks upside-down. That generally prevents the pressure changes from causing leaks.

Have a great trip.
