I have been refilling my mother's mini tanks when they get down low, perhaps .1 to .2 ml.
What is left is always darker than the fresh Tribeca I top it off with.
I just mix it up after topping off.
Is the darker eliquid normal?
My "non" sophisticated" non smoker palate, does not detect any burnt taste when I take a test puff.
I thought perhaps that the combustion/vaporizing of the liquid was not a 100% process and left a higher concentration of some of the ingredients in the tank?
This is the main reason I am cleaning the tanks after a weeks use.

nicotine darkens over time with exposure to light. it's not going bad, it's just reacting to light. so if you have some liquid left over during refills, the older liquid will be darker, it's perfectly normal. that's why it's suggested to store the e-liquid bottles in a dark place (although the dark blue tint Halo uses helps a lot naturally).

Hey, Doc.

I think it's a combination of the 2 things. That you are right, not all the juice gets vaporized. And some of it does get carmelized. And the nicotine does darken a bit in light, as wheezal says.

Rinsing/cleaning the tank is the way to go. That color change for me is an indicater that it's time. Sometimes it's a bit past time.

I find Tribeca to be sweet. I wonder if the sweetness is contributing to the slight darkening. Other Tribeca users might chime in here.

I like Torque, as it seems to be the cleanest juice I vape. Coils last the longest, and it takes a long time before I see any darkening.

Besides the pg, vg and nicotine, flavorings and sweeteners seem to dictate coil life, gunking, burning, etc.

I wonder if a very pure flavorless mix would go the longest in a tank, having nothing except pg, vg and nic... But what fun, is any, would that be?

Vape On, Mom!!!!

Just got some cheap vodka for cleaning.
The Tribeca darkens after a single tank full, but it seems to always be about the same color each day.
I figure that if the taste doesn't change, I will keep with the weekly cleanings.
Mom only vapes about 1.5 tanks a day and I rotate the two in use and keep two cleaned on stand-by.
I also have a good stash of brand new ones when necessary.
These are much easier to deal with than the cartomizers.
