So I'm about a day or two away from getting my Tornado in the mail. Anyone have any tricks they use to make the whole PV experience easier? Namely, tricks for easy cleaning of carts, atomizers, easy refilling, so on and so forth.

Also, and I do not want the thread to get totally sidetracked by this question, but what 510 cart mods are people having the best luck using? So far I'm planning on trying the PTB mod with the shredded side "hugging" the atty, but if anyone has strong feelings for/against that one, I'd love to hear them.

As far as LR attys, I haven't tried them ye but I hear good things. For cart mods, I'm using the ptb right now also, but going to try a couple other that i've seen here also, check out the modders forum for cart mods.

always keep papertowel and tweezers handy for refilling ()never know when you'll have to "refluff" the ptb and the tweezers make that a lot easier. You'll see a lot of different ways to clean your attys, but for the most part you shouldn't really have to unless you vape a flavor that just doesn't seem to want to come out. What I've done is just soak it in a bowl of hot (not boiling mind you, just out of the tap hot) water for a while, pull it out and wipe it down and blow a bit into the cart side to clear some of the extra water out and let it sit overnight....trust me, overnight.

I swear by the PTB mod. The after refilling the polyfil, it doesn't seem to hold anything. I was swapping out carts every other puff. With the PTB I can fill that thing up once and go for hours. Plus after I shredded them, they wicked the atty much better giving me great vapor each time.

Ofcourse I haven't yet tried anything else, like straw mods or blue foam, but I'm still working on trying all the flavors I have before I can start thinking about modding more.

Same, I'm also looking at the zero filler and auto drip mods too, a little harder to set up, but if you can get them to work they would be great!

Also forget all about filling with these LR Atty's ( you can still fill your carts ) but get one of Drews driping tips when you order your LR Atty if you get them from NHaler like I did, the taste the ease of use and never having to fill carts again is well worth it, These LR Atty's make 3volt vaping worth while again, ive been at 5,6,7 VOLTS for a long time and still am, however you really get just as big of a hit with these LR'S and the taste is better than HV I think, but just get them and the new plastic drop tips and give it a try you will see what I mean real fast, hope I helped ya out

Oh here's a question. Assuming I'm going to be refilling a cart with the same flavor that was in it previously, is cleaning even required?
The atomizer will slowly build up with the residue from heating the juice. That means less flavor because the heating element doesn't work as well. Even more buildup means more of a chance of getting a nasty burnt taste. Weekly cleaning by a simple soak in hot water should help keep the amount of buildup down. If the atty last over a month I'd check into the various methods from the forums for a better cleaning. I did the burn cleaning over the weekend on my 4 (quantity of atomizers) one (time) week old atomizers and did notice a difference but I have overly sensitive taste.

I'm using the Rite Size U plug mod and liking it pretty well.

#1. IMO you probably will want to mod your carts a.s.a.p. and the pre-filled stuff is junk.
#2. you MUST have something charging at all times. The tornado should last you a good 7-8 hours per charge, but I always bring a spare battery wherever I go just in case (and I've needed it a couple of times)
#3. I don't recommend cleaning the attys unless their performance has dropped too much to enjoy them anymore (read all the posts about "broken" attys - the stories always start with, "I cleaned my attys, and now......") just blow them out every once in a while - they'll be fine!
#4. Every time you have to re-fill a cart, put 2 drops onto the bridge of the atty too. Not more than 2 drops though - just enough to keep it wicking.
#5. If the carts start to leak and you don't think you are over filling them, just take the atty off and blow the junk out of it into a paper towel, put one (1 - no more) drop back in and resume vaping - all fixed.
Anyhoo, that's about what I do and I've never had any problems with my stuff. Also: if you get the chance, try vaping 555 while enjoying an Asahi beer. It tastes like roses!

Good Luck!
