I must admit that I tried it to, just today, much for the same reason,...
All I am going to say is the oxidized metallic taste is very strong and there is no way that I could vape this straight as I can Aroma VS DIY, made me gag. Will have to mix with very strong flavors like peppermint, otherwise I may not be able to use it.

I LOVE THE WAY AROMA VS DIY TASTE!!!!! IT'S HAS A REALLY GOOD TASTE ALL ON IT'S OWN and I hope this VS will be the standard.

When I have commented to Jerry negatively about some other juice, he always humbly tells me it's probably my personal bias getting in the way of open mindedness.
But yuck is yuck. There are plenty of Aroma juices I think are yucky too.

Jerry is just entirely too nice! (-;

I never did get an email reply from the "other place" as to what might have been at issue with the rusted metal/solvent smell and taste but I did receive another bottle a couple of days ago. Complete surprise that, no note or communication, just another bottle.

I opened, took a whiff and closed it. End of story.

So I take it that it was the same as the first. When I first tried the one from the other vendor, I dripped some, didn't like the taste or feel of it and closed the bottle. I'm not sure why I kept it but did so it sits in liquid purgatory until I clean house. I am on my second bottle of VS and am loving it. Jerry has set the bar high with Dvap's help.

I have mixed some with Halo's Kringles Kurse a pretty strong peppermint flavor and the metallic taste still comes through. I can't really afford to just get rid of it, but what can you do. I guess I can try to work with it, but being a bakery flavor lover, I am not sure how well this will work. I guess it will sit in the back of my cabinet while I nurse my Aroma VS DIY and just hope that when it's available the next time I am lucky enough to score a 15ml bottle again.

    Yup.
    Sad really.

There is a post on their thread that several have reported issues and they are offering to replace if requested once they know for sure they have isolated the issue. Not sure what to do at this point could end up with more of the same like you did. I may send a PM and just tell him to let me know if they think they have the issue worked out, that being said, not sure anything can now measure up. Still wish that I'd spent that Benjamin at Aroma.

I know of a couple of ppl in financial need right now that could use a gift of WTA to help them through.

IMO, WTA is effective. I'm glad there is more than one supplier and like the variety. I view them as apples to oranges. They each have their own characteristics.

There is a third supplier and as much as I like variety, I'm still on the fence and unsure if they understand fully what WTA is. They wouldn't be the first supplier that made that error. In conversations with others, it appears they maybe trying to hybridize WTA with a net. I'm not ready to jump in as a beta testor yet.

...closer to the trash heap. Maybe I will use it to kill aphids on house plants!
    Don't do it Doug.

One, that would be considered cruel and unusual punishment to the aphids, and,

Two, if ya puts it on house plants then yer gonna be smellin' that drek! Eeeew!!

I don't think that I could even do that with the stuff I have. I seriously think there is something wrong with it, something that may make it unsafe. I don't think that with the batch that I got is a matter of different characteristics, maybe I'm wrong and maybe I just really love the Aroma, but honestly there is absolutely no way that they are just off by characteristics. I do think that I will let them replace it and see if the next batch that I get is any different. Maybe then I will decide to swap or donate to those in need.

Just scored a 15ml bottle, on the Aroma site.

That competitors bottle is getting closer and closer to the trash heap. Maybe I will use it to kill aphids on house plants!

Dang it, today was payday too and I missed it :( Still going to order some Red Tail this weekend though :)

Looks like your right. They are replacing a batch that was bad.

The logic eludes me as to why they're not giving their batches a sniff test before bottling. I've mentioned as much before and considering it's an issue that they've been fighting for some time, it seems only reasonable that they shouldn't be letting affected product reach customers.

I understand better than most the sort of challenges that one faces in the production of WTA, but to have a defect and to allow it to reach customers when it is easily within one's control to stop such a defect from reaching customers... that bothers me and it needs to bother them enough to put measures in place to assure that defective product is quarantined and only properly made product reaches customers.

As a strong supporter of Aroma both out front and behind the scenes, I'm not intending to kick the competition. From a perspective of someone familiar with quality control in a laboratory environment, I would hope that this will be taken as good advice... even if a bit stern. My intention isn't to ruffle feathers, but rather to state what I feel is obvious and to encourage preventative measures that I also feel should be obvious.

When it comes to WTA, I've got a bit of a soapbox, and from time to time, I feel compelled to stand on it.

While I always promote Aroma's products, especially their unflavored WTA, I've never said to anyone, "Don't try those guys, their stuff is bad". That would be an unjustifiable cheap-shot. The longer this issue persists, the more folks including myself are likely to add a disclaimer about the defect rate ("Yea, it's OK, unless...") when discussing this product.

If I ever catch Jerry letting a known problem out the door either intentionally or through inattention, I'll slice him into Radio-Kabobs.

Well said Dvap. I try to stay impartial when it comes to this subject and if someone else's wta is good then I'd say so but that's not the experience I've had with others I've tried so far. When I order a liquid, whether it be wta or just regular nic liquid, I expect a quality product. If I don't like it then I'm probably not going to order more to try again. I expect the same quality product each and every time.
