I just tried my first N.E.T. tobacco from a company and it has no flavor at all.
they where cigar flavors so I expected them to taste exactly like a earthy cigar.
All it tastes like is almost unflavored heavy sweet musky flavor.
I went back to my artificial cigar flavor and it has a lot of cigar taste.
Can anyone explain why ?
Thank You

They are from Smug Juice. The Stogie & Cuban Perfecto. I didn't know I needed to let them steep. Thank You very much
I was just surprised with vaping them. Should I just let them steep with the cap on or off ?
You have already opened it, so cap on. Haven't tried Smug Juice, and i prefer pipe NETs to cigar NETs but N.E.T. com, MVJ and House of Liquid have some highly rated cigar NETs. Post your question in the following thread for some good recommendations if you would like to try a killer Cigar NET :

Just for future reference, Diane at MyVapeJuice offers a selection of pre-steeped NET liquids, too.

+ 1, your not going to find any better unless you do it yourself, I age my NET'S for no less than a month, I have no idea how SMUG does there's ...........

I guess some NET are very different. The NETs I get never need steeping, they only get better... Again never tried smug?

Ive used some from Goodejuice, Naturally Extracted NET.com, and walkers finest.... All are great fresh out of the mail, and only get better and better.... I did try some from Black note and they were very different and not as "tobacco" as I like. I also used to get some from The Plume Room and they are good, but very "flavoured" meaning they have very little real tobacco taste.....

I will agree the first two named do a three month extract / steep so if your "smug" has "no" flavor now that's not good ..........

I just expected a real earthy cigar taste. I'm not trying to say smug juice is bad or anything. It might just need to steep or something. I'm planning on trying to make my own NET soon.

If you like a mellow , earthy taste, I would recommend the Gypsy Blonde from Naturally Extracted Tobaccos.com. If you like a bit more earthy, try the Gypsy Brun . I love their tobaccos. If you like a stronger earthier their Latikas and Fire Burley are great.

Cigars are difficult to extract flavor from, the reason for this lies in the curing process used in making cigar tobaccos. Retail NET made from cigar tobacco is normally a bit anemic in flavor and requires months of aging before its develops. Even then the flavor and intensity will be but a shadow of the cigar's true flavor/potential. Simple soak solvent extraction methods (especially those using PG or VG as the solvent), are hard pressed to leech adequate flavor from the much dryer, less processed tobacco used in making cigars.

I concur with much of what was already said. Most of the cigar extracts I get from either MVJ or NET.com take about 3 months before developing flavor. They are kinda bland before that mark and at 3 months, they become flavor bombs. They get even better the longer they age as well. There are some exceptions to that like Starry Night and 7th cut from NET.com, they have good flavor up front and develop depth as they age. Even most from the steeped to perfection line from MVJ are a little weak at first and get better as they age. Like Axl Rose one said, just need a little patience.

Funny this thread appeared today bc I just emailed Diane about the three flavors I ordered. They were mixed on 08/04 and still aren't quite ready. I ordered "already steeped" from her before and I went right through those.

One of my absolute favorite cigar NETs is by Want2Vape in Florida - Alcazar Cigar and The Blonde takes a close 2nd. They are typically ready to go and get stronger as well with time.

I ordered the Cuban Perfecto before and had a different experience. It was very strong right out of the mail and so I let it sit. After a few weeks, no change and figured it just wasn't for me.
