Hi All,
Well I finally tried the new tank after looking at it and the videos for days. I'll try to make this short. Filled great no leaks, dry as a bone(thanks Snow). I have mostely Auto Batts and only two Manuals (both gold buttons) a very old shorty and a newer PT, it works on the old shorty. The tank works on every Auto that I have except one old full logo. I know you shouldn't do that but I had t try them. It will not work on my Manual PT with any charger even the slim one and a few other odd ones. It will work on all of my Auto PT's. It also works even better on my Auto Diamonds.

My question is I want to order a new PT that will work, which is why I bought the tank, but I don't know what is the best to get. I don't think it's the charger since the tank works on the charger with the Autos. The tank is bone dry but due to the warnings, I'm afraid to use it on a regular basis with an Auto. Your input and advise would be very much appreciated. Thanks to Snow and Morandir for all your past help.

No matter what I have tried I cannot get it to work on a PT either. At the time of the video I couldn't get my Manual PT to work. I had heard it was because I was not using the newest Slim Line USB wall wart and to avoid use on a computer. I happen to have one of the larger Version 1 USB wall warts so I noted what I believed at the time on the video. I thought perhaps this was a USB 2.0 vs USB 3.0 issue. At this time I think it's safe to say these do not work with any V4L PT.

You can use them with an Auto Diamond, but if it leaks it will most definitely kill your battery. So you'll have to weigh the risk of doing that. My use with older batteries has been hit and miss at best. I was surprised to see it worked with a Bargain Bin black button shorty...it does produce vapor...but very little..as the juice notably gurgles. These do work best with the newer Diamond Series and Stealth Series Battery, manuals being preferred for the above noted reason.

So it's not your PT and I surely wouldn't order another one. Gled to hear you had no problems with filling and have been able to enjoy your new tank...that's great!

Hope that helps sal997....

I have been vaping for a couple of year's and tried my first tank just now! THANK'S to SD's video, no prob, pretty neat! Of course I have collected quite a number of batteries........I can't remember the "evolution"! Were the black button or gold button first? None of my gold button manual's work but four or five black one's work great!!!!!!!! Of course all the manual diamond's work wonderfully as well :))))))

Snow & Dedi.
Thanks for your input. The strange thing I find is that the tank works great with my Auto PT's but not the Manuals. I may just use it with one of my older auto PT's since I have five of them and get a new Manual Diamond for regular use. It sure does work well though. Better taste, TH and more vapor. Lord, I don't know what we'd do without all you great people here to help us. Thanks so much.

Glad to hear it Dedi!!! Not sure why they are so hit and miss with the batteries across the spectrum or why you can seem to get a whisp of vapor from some batteries, decent vapor from others, and nothing from others still.
I just brought in my Auto PT from the car and got not nothing from it either.....so

But they do absolutely work great with Diamond and Stealth Series Batteries (preferably Manuals).

We're compiling quite a good list of successful first fillers...that's great!

FWIW, I found two non-V4L manual passthrus (different brands) that work with the tank on all three of the wall adaptors I tried (one slimline black, and two old-skool apple-ish white ones). Sadly tho, both of those other brand PTs have cutoffs at 10 seconds or less.

These are the same adaptors that will not fire my manual V4L PT with a tank.

Sooo many numbers...sooo many batteries :) ARGH! I just took SD's recommendation and bought some manual diamonds and a manual stealth to use with my new tanks...oh, and bought that BIG thingy that the tank goes on that has the two batteries inside. Yeah, THAT thing :) And, it's like learning to vape all over again :p I was just getting good at it, too ;)

Glad you're enjoying your tank...I'll let you know how I like it as soon as I learn how to vape again ;) That thing produces vapor to spare and it tickles my nose :)

Those pt's might not be rated at 5v Plarkinjr sir. Know the ones rated for 3.6v and 3.7v regulated all work with the slim line usb adapter and the 1.5ohm duals. On the car adapter hit or miss. A 3.7v one caused the fuse to blow on my car...

Guess I'll need to get the multimeter back out and take some off-load measurements (since I'm too lazy to try to figure out how to get stuff under load). :vapor:

I have 3 V4L manual passthroughs and found that 1 works with the V4L tank. I use it with the the "apple" adapter(1st gen?). It works great too.:2cool:

On the other hand.... only one of my 2 flat black XL manual stealth batts works with it. Seems to be very hit and miss with any and all batts and PT's.

The only thing I need now is a higher OHM tank(2.0-2.5) to use with my OMG.;);)

Good to you see back Neonrust, it's been awhile. There are rumors that replacement DVCs and higher DCTs are on the way, I'm right there with you on the 2.0 and 2.5's. Congrats on 1.25 years of vaping.

Thanks SnowDragon....It has been 1.25 years of cough-less bliss...hehe. Not to mention I'm playing a physical sport(box Lacrosse) again after a 20 year layover due to smoking.

I hope the rumors are true, but I can wait, as cool carts work a charm with the OMG.

Morandir, as always thank you. its over my head (as usual) but no worries just stocking up on the stealth manuals. i have faith in V4l and know that they seem to take pride in putting out quality. when there is a pt solution, we will know about it.
i am soooo close to pulling the trigger on an OMG mod, but i like being married and i think she might divorce me if i spend any more money right now. again, thank you for all you do
