i've noticed that on one of my shorties (and on my PT and manuals) that there's a loud whistling/wooshing sound when i inhale to vape. i did try cleaning the threading and the tiny airholes on the shorty batts.. and now one is better, but the other is even more whistle-y... and i mean i REALLY have to drag to get any vape.. in fact on that batt i've taken to inhaling directly into my lungs to use it.

is this the sign of a dead battery? already? the PT/manuals i think always had a bit of a 'sound' to inhaling, but like, my regular sized autos, and the other shorty auto, are pretty much silent when i vape.

okay, thanks - i'll try that method (toothbrush) before i go asking for replacements. i'm more than willing to buy a new battery if it was something i did and didn't realise, like cleaning with the pipe cleaner (like one of the videos posted) and maybe i pushed it in too far (though i was very careful). if it's my fault, i don't want to go asking for free replacements.

thanks for the tips, and answers. :)

We increased the airflow on the newest order of shorties, and a noisier draw is a consequence of that, but it does produce more vapor that way, and we think it will help the battery lifespan as well. Some people have liked the easier draw, some haven't.

We may have gone a bit too far in that direction, and it does work better for the manuals than the autos, so we're decreasing the airflow slightly on the regular length auto batts in production now, but they will still be lighter draw than the older ones.

that's good to know. these are the batts i ordered in my initial kit which was whatever my sig says... 3 and a half weeks ago, or just over that? it definitely seems to be an airflow thing, but initially these batts didn't do that when i first got them, so i'm *thinking* i wrecked this one on accident when cleaning the threading/airholes. it still *works* though, so i'm not complaining, it's just become harder to use; i have to reeeeally drag it straight into the lungs to get a good hit.

i just placed an order (HORRIBLE considering i have a dental surgery for my daughter to pay for in a few weeks!! but i've scrimped money in other places to save up for the 30 percent down payment so i'm okay) and included one of the manual shorties, since i'm REALLY loving the manuals and as my autos die, i'm planning to replace them with manuals now that the 'need to have it be more like an analog' has passed.
