Hi,

I'm new to the forums and to vaping and thought I'd introduce myself. I've been reading through the material for a couple days. There is an incredible amount of knowledge here and a great vibe. This site is exactly what I have been looking for.

I wanted to quit smoking for good. I've walked away from my American Spirits for months at a time, but somehow I always wind up coming back to them.

I'm hoping that e-cigs will help me give up smoking once and for all. I haven't had a analog in a month, and I tried a few disposables during that time to see what e-cigs were like. I tried the Volcano, Krave 500 and Magnum Uno. Between nicotine gum and the disposables, I've made it so far.

My experience was enough to convince me to take the next step and get an e-cig I could recharge--and perhaps refill myself. After checking out some of the refill posts it's clear that I still have a lot to learn about that.

Anyway, after reading a lot of reviews--and by that I mean true user reviews--I decided to get the Bloog Max Fusion. Unfortunately, they were out of the short battery, which I wanted and the 78mm black battery, which was my second choice. So instead of getting a kit, I ordered piece-meal. I'm getting a 78 mm white battery, a 5 pack of Kamel carts and a charger.

I figure that if I like it, they'll have the short batterys back in stock, and I'll need to order more carts anyway.

I'm looking forward to seeing how much difference there is between the Maxx Fusion and the disposables I've been using. In the meantime, there's a ton of information to go through here. I'm very interested in opinions on the different tobacco flavors. I went with Kamel because before my American Spririts, I was a Camel Lights smoker. The 555 looks interesting. I used to splurge on a pack of Dunhills on occasion.

Thanks to all the people who've taken the time to post up and organize all this information. It's a fantastic resource.

Welcome to the ECF!

I can relate to your post and was thankful that the first vendor I choose was unable to allow me to get a full kit and just ordered a USB pass thru and some cartridges like the Maxx Fusion.

I soon found out that I would have to open the cartridges and drip e-liquid inside to get the most out of using them.

Then after reading through the ECF I noticed allot of people like the 510 style PV and dripping.

I ordered an eGo kit, a 510 LR atty, a drip tip, and some juice. IMHO using a LR attys is the closest thing to hitting an analog because it is a very similar in the sense that it requires a shorter easier drag, its warmer, produces a good TH and has good flavor. In other words it does not require a longer, slower, and/or different style draw to get a good hit.

I've read on ECF here that a lot of people have tried different setups and a lot have found the one that works best for them and has kept them away from analogs. Do some research on the ECF and you may find something that will work better for you. Remember that every PV is different in some way, at least the ones I've used and I've had to adjust in some way to get the best hit from each.

In hind sight I'm glad I didn't buy a full kit to start off with and happy that I found ECF to learn about other options.

Now I'm searching for a good MOD!

I'm eyeing up a VapeMate to go with my eGo and A Reo Grand to add to my collection!

YMMV

Thanks for the reply.

I've been checking out the posts on dripping since I found the ECF. The first sites I found were the e-cig reviews, and it's clear that some of those are pimping certain kits. Coming here has really opened my eyes.

I'm curious to see how much better the Maxx Fusion is compared to the disposables I've used so far. I can certainly seeing getting into this more and trying some dripping. I notice a lot of the people here have different gear for different situations, which makes perfect sense.

I've certainly seen plenty of references to the eGeo kit, and the 510. That may be the way I head next. I want the 65 mm Maxx Fusion specifically to carry on me when I go out drinking. I wanted something that looks like an analog, handles like an analog and is easy to carry. If I can get something to do that for me, I'll be heading in the right direction. I took a disposable with me last night, and I used it a few times. It kept me from even considering getting a pack of analogs, but I'm thinking there's got to be a much more satisfying PV experience than what I've had so far. And so the hunt begins.

Thanks Again, and good luck with your MOD
