I think I started off on the 510 series by recommendation of this forum back then but I couldn't keep up with the burnt taste, constant re-dripping, and lost carts. Got married. Wife hates cigarettes. I felt a real need to quit.

Got referred back here by Gizmodo's crappy e-cigarette review and found the world of PVs had changed for the better! Went out and tried the Blu Mentol disposable and found it was much better than my old one way back when. Took the leap today and found myself a store to pick up a eGo-C Twist, Vision clearos, and some juice to last me a few weeks.

I haven't craved an analog all day, as I've been happily vaping away! Ran errands, drove around, cleaned my guns. Nope. Still no craving. Not to mention I "created" a nice 50/50 mix of Sub Zero menthol and Ms. T's Pear flavor that tastes better than any Newport I've had!

Wish me luck! I'm hoping to vape for the long haul this time and finally kick the habit of burning!

Darn! You nixed my post - I was about to start a long ol' rant about why to get the eGo Twist and clearos. :D

Thanks Edensin! Looking forward to it!

Haha. Hulamoon, sorry I took the wind out of your sails! Go on and write about it though! I'd love to read up some more on my newly acquired hardware. I find that the twist gives me great versatility between different juices and the vision clearos are pumping nice vapor consistently! Seriously! Consistently! Huge change from my old chinese battery/carto combo I paid over $70 for years ago. I had mixed feelings about e-cigs back then but I'm feeling confident now with better hardware. Probably will end up picking up a few more Twists in the 1000mah size to get me through the long workdays.

Side note; I am actually at home with the cold today. I was never able to finish a whole cigarette when feeling sick because of the throat burn and discomfort. Been vaping on a low setting with my twist and the menthol flavoring has cleared my sinuses! HUGE PLUS!

The first time I used them I just had a basic ecig. I have a friend who was into it and he made some box mods and that is what I ended up with before setting it aside. Right now I am using the box mod mostly and another tube mod that I am borrowing but I have a LavaTube on the way. I like a higher voltage than what the box mod has and it was recommended that I get a VV so I can set it at what I like.

Hopefully we will continue to see each other around here, as that mean we are both doing well!! Good luck to you too!

I had the exact same experience. It was about 3 years ago also and I used the old 510s. I actually found my old 510 battery and I was amazed how much smaller it is than the kGo I just recently got again. I quit vaping because I was so tired of fiddling with the thing and trying to get it to vape properly, and I spent way more time doing that than actually vaping! Same issues with either burning or flooding. So much have changed, and it seems to get better every day. Even the juices I've tried more recently are 10 times better than I had before, and there's so much more to try!
Keep on vaping! It will get even easier after a couple days, it did for me at least, as the cigarette residue gets cleaned out and the tastes get even better. Best of luck!

Let me know how that LaveTube treats you! I picked up the eGo-C Twist because of the VV and am pretty fond of it so far. I may invest in another unit when I reach the two month marker or if my twist ends up dying on me.

I will definitely let you know. I feel like it is Christmas time waiting on the gifts to arrive!

Asnski, you have more patience than I. Haha. I spent most of last night trying to hunt down "local" brick and mortar stores that carried e-cig supplies and drove over an hour from my home to pick them up. Gas, time, and money well spent in my opinion but I'm not known as someone with infinite patience. I hope you get your gear sooner than later!

It's so nice to see prior vapers coming back and discovering all our new toys ;) If I had tried a few years back I probably would not have stuck with the reported short battery times and icky cartridges.

I started on Ego T's, fought them until I finally figured out how to draw on them to keep them from leaking. Then the C's came along and they were better. Then I found after a full year of vaping Egos the Silver Bullet and the Provari. I actually bought the Provari first but it was going to take some time to arrive so I got a SB to placate my "I want it now" nerves.

It's been like Christmas ever since ;) I love vapemail ;) The devices seem to keep multiplying in the dark.

Congrats on coming back, read a lot here you will find lots of support. I read ECF for quite awhile before I registered so could ask questions I didn't see covered. Now I try to cheer lead and help out wherever I feel competent to do so ;)

You guys rock !!

I'm vaping and off analogs for almost 3 1/2 years, so we (you and I) started around the same time. I stuck with the fiddling only because when it was *right* it was sooo much better than analogs. But, you're right... there were times that vaping was just too much hassle.

The reason I'm jumping into this thread is to share a couple of thoughts. First off, I'm so glad that some of you guys came back. I often thought that many people had their trials with the super mini type e-cigs and the original 510 battery and gave up on the experience. In fact, I've spoken to people IRL who have told me they "tried those e-cigs" and they didn't work. At that point I hand them my PV and tell them to try a drag. Usually, when they stop coughing (LOL) they have this look on their faces that says; 'That is SOOOO not what I tried before'. =)

'Tis why when newbies come to the forums I try to keep the advice simple and as inexpensive as possible. The idea is for them to have the most positive experience possible, as to not deter them from the vaping experience as a whole, even though their particular hardware and software (e-liquid) may vary greatly from mine.

Best of luck going forward to all who have come back. =)

Stopping by to let you know how I am liking my LavaTube. I got it today and I have to say I am loving it so far!! It is amazing the difference equipment can make. So much more flavor, vapor and throat hit!

Thanks for the update! May I ask where you ended up purchasing yours from? I'm seriously considering some higher end equipment for home/office use and reserving my eGo Twists for my on-the-go needs.

I ordered it from Buy E-Cigarette | Safety Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarettes It is a nice device in my opinion. I didn't get the starter kit because I didn't all of the stuff, it was cheaper to only get the device, two batteries and a charger. Just as a FYI.

Thank you! I'm seriously considering the purchase. Do you have any experience with the eGo Twist? If so, what are your opinions between the two? I like the idea of removable batteries, replaceable batteries, vari-voltage, and larger-ish/solid unit for at home/office vaping.
