It has been almost 2 years since i quit analogs and i jsut found out i am a father. i am ready to give it another go however i am lost there are so many more vendors and products than there where when i was last vaping. I was using a joye Ego at the time yet all my equipment is either lost or non functional so i am reaching out to find an affordable way to get back in it and to find out if all the mountains of liquid i still have are any good. they were still in there bottles and kept in a dark closet in plastic bags however like i said it has been almost two years. so main Questions what should i puchase and from where. and will i need to start over on my liquids?

The old juice won't kill you, but it's likely oxidized and not worth keeping. The shelf life is about a year so, yeah, you'd be best to start off fresh with the juice.

If you were happy with the ego's size, there are affordable kits that are similar but superior. The kGo is 3.7V, compared to the 3.4V of the eGo. It is the same size and extremely popular and successful for new and returning vapers.
A whole kit is running about $45, so it's affordable.

For something with a litte more long-term economy, you might try an e-Power. It's just like the kGo or eGo, but takes separate batteries. So, if it dies, you just replace a battery for $5 instead of the whole unit.

Either of these, a box of cartos and some juice will get you back on the path in the most direct and hassle free way.

If you're the masochistic type and enjoy months of frustration, you can get another ego, like the eGo-C or eGo-T with their leaky tank systems. Then, when you get sick of the drama, you can do what everyone else does and scrap the tank system for something that actually works. But, if you get an kGo or e-power, you can skip that step.

Hi Fursty, Congratulations on the new father. Welcome to the ecf. Chances are your liquids from two years ago will mostly be toast. But it wont hurt to get a spare atomizer or two for your new device to give them a taste test, who knows they may be ok
.
Where you ok with the eGo size batts when you where using them? chances are they where the 650mAh size as was very popular then. They are still the same as you remembered but there is also the kGo kits like KGO kit1100mAh by SLB which are higher voltage(kgo 3.7v-eGo 3.4v) and higher capacity(1100mAh) than the shorter(650mAh) eGo from Joye. These will give you a little more heat and alot more use time from a single charge when compred to the eGo you once knew.

Now on to what you may have missed while you where away. Cartomizers they have evolved fairly rapidly to being a reliable means of vaping. If you go this route i would recommend the Boge2.0 ohm or the Smoktek1.7 ohm single coil units for either ego or kgo. Both have proven to be solid, effective vapes. I use one carto about every 4-7 days while using about 5-8ml of liquid per day.

Ce style cartomizers ce2,ce4,ce4+,stardust,fluxomizer and a few others. These are most often a top coil cartomizer. There are wicks which carry the liquid to the coil near the mouthpiece. These generally provide a warmer vapor and a little better flavor than a standard cartomizer, and usually with a higher ohm load on your batteries. The reservoir ranges from .8ml(maybe less) to above 5ml. The newer favorites to this realm are the ce4(+) aka stardust. They have a screw in mouthpiece which makes filling them easy and they do provide a good amount of vapor and flavor as well.

Oh mY Im ranting. Any way I wish you the best of luck in everything. Happy Vaping.
Ya beat me to it again sailorman......

Good advice, and welcome to ecf, fursty.

I like what sailorman said. Its just better to get something with separate batteries, if youre truly wanting to get away from analogs. Many new vapors stray back to analogs, because of (1) the "hassle" of USB charging and the ultimate overall effect of that type of system, and (2) not researching enough to find the right mg of juice that they need to be at (for prior heavy analog usage, at least :D ). Things like not knowing there are PVs stronger than 3.4 or 3.7volts out there (separate batteries), or that you have the option of buying juice stronger than 16-18mg .. and simply resulting with the mind set of "Oh, this sucks. Im going back to analogs." Well, that and not being sold on the whole idea to begin with :(

Ive only tried carto's on something Ego-like, and it just never appealed to me. Maybe they are better on 5-6v systems, I just dont care to try it, only because Im happy with dripping (an extra "something" to explain to analog users ;) ). I dont want to stray you away from any option, however. Anything is better than analogs!

Hope I helped! Good luck to you!
