I have been vaping on this for a month now. Today, I had been vaping and a little while ago, I picked it up to take a drag and nothing. No button light. No coil burner. Nothing. I clicked the button five times and still nothing. I switched batteries and started using the other one. So I put the other one on the charger. I checked on the charge every few minutes and all seemed to be going well. I put my hand on the charger and it felt pretty warm; almost hot (is this normal). I went ahead and pulled the battery off the charger and the light blinked. I tried to turn it on and it turned right on. So I went back to using that battery. Is something wrong that I'm missing or was it just a fluke?

I have occasionally had the battery short out on me, because of juice drippage down the chimney, and the only way to get it to work again was to let the charger reset it.

I do not recall it getting HOT while charging it after such a thing happened, I only recall it getting the normal "warm" that a battery charging gets.

Just mark the battery in question, and keep track of its behavior the next few charge/use cycles.

Gauged, it sounds like your battery needs cleaning. I clean mine with rubbing alcohol and q-tip then I clean the "mote" out with a paper towel & plastic toothpick. My husband put a battery on to charge and it was getting hot, I removed the battery and cleaned it and the USB part then it charged just fine without further problems. ;)

I only ask cuz when cleaning the center pin on the batt, whatever you use needs to have as little water content as possible. I got some 99% Isopropyl Alcohol off of Amazon and some cool long, pointed tip Qtips to clean on and around the center Pin.

It cleans up well and evaporates quick and doesn't get the inside of the batt wet, cuz, well, we know what water does to a batt. It will either short out completely or act wonky till it drys out if it's just some droplets or dried up juices that needs to be cleaned off the center pin.

Oops... That's what I meant... Isopropyl. So far, the battery is doing great. I made a new coil and I believe the heat that it puts off caused the battery to shut down. A quick charge reset the battery and its been going strong ever since. I am still using the same coil, just watching the heat. Plus, it gave me an excuse to purchase a 1300mah battery. Now if this shipping issue gets straightened out. I placed the order on Thursday, Halo "shipped" it on Friday and usps still says "shipment info sent 08/08/14." Getting antsy. Ready to retire Halo and move to a mechanical mod.

COOL! At least you got it working good and even if you get other mods, the Triton is great for grab and go for times you don't wanna carry a mod,

I have 2 batteries that are now getting hot when I charge them. Not warm HOT. I was thinking maybe because they are my oldest batteries that maybe it was time for me to throw them out. I will try cleaning them really well and see if that make a difference when charging them. My other batteries charge fine on the same charger and do not get hot. Can anyone advise if maybe it's just time to retire them.

this type of battery is roughly good for 300 charges, that means full or partial charges. Normally when they get past this point, they should not get so hot when they charge, instead "normal" behavior is they just dont hold a charge as long and die quicker.

Please not, abuse of the battery can reduce this "300" number, such as leaving it in very hot (inside a parked car) or humid places.

For laughs... if you have a multimeter or can borrow one for a bit, test what the voltage is off the batteries contacts when you push the button, after a charge or before you put it on for a charge.
