I had quite a good luck in vaping experience until I started cleaning the Triton tanks and replacing the coils. I started getting plasticky taste, very low flavor and crackling sounds. From reading other threads for Kanger T2 tanks, I might be having problems with the silicone sleeve pinching the wicks. I think I was pushing the silicone sleeves too much and thus pinching the wicks restricting the juice intake to the coil. Tonight for two tanks, I only pushed the silicone sleeve until the top of it was flush with the small metal piece at the top of the coil head. Screwing in the drip tips pushes the silicone sleeve further down too. When I vaped, one of the tanks (tank 1) still had the same problem, other one (tank 2) was better but still not that good. I took the heads out and noticed that the silicone sleeve in tank 1 was definitely pinching more than the one in tank2.

The vape with tank 2 felt like some of my earlier vapes, some flavor and a weird scratching sensation in my throat. Earlier on, I thought that was throat hit. But I think some of the sensation comes from intended "good" throat hit and other from the plasticky fumes from the coil overheating due to the low juice flow. That kind of "throat hit" seems to persist for a longer time after vaping.

After further reading various threads, I decided to cut two small triangles at the bottom of the silicone sleeve where it meets the wicks. The downside is there'll be more potential for the juice entering in the center post and leak. I might try this tomorrow.

Has anyone else had similar issues and found a good solution for it?

Cheers :)
