I've read that the Triton tanks can use the Kanger T2 replacement coils. I can get these for about half the price of the Triton replacements. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I'd like to know if these coils work as well, or even fit properly. If the performance is there, the price difference would certainly warrant giving these things a shot.

Well, hold on Sleepy, are you aware that it's more complicated than price? The coil is the engine that makes the whole thing work to your liking. A few things to look out for when you go outside Halo-nation.
Clone heads vs Kanger- there's tons of cheap clones
Short wick-catch cup vs long wick - obviously Halo is long wick
2 wicks vs 3 wicks - various opinions on this although it's easy to remove the 3rd if you wish.

Also none of us really know if the Triton Tank is actually a Kanger or a well made clone.

All anyone can really guarantee is that if it is Kanger T2 Sunfire compatible it will screw into the Triton Tank, your happiness with it's vaping will be a mystery until you try it.

I can tell you that yes, Kanger T2 coils fit and work properly with the Triton tanks. Having said that, unless you can find the T2 long-wick coils, I prefer the Triton replacement coils. For not all that much money when you take into account vaping-time/life of the coil, the long wick Triton coils give me better performance and convenience (much less need to "tip" the tank to keep the wicks saturated)

I was actually curious also. I was getting ready to order the Triton coil replacements but wanted to know what else would work. can you guys post some web links to the other coils that would work.

I just ordered a package of them as I needed a few other things i'll let you know if they work but last time I ordered from them it took 2 weeks to get the stuff.

I actually picked up some short wick coils from MBV when I made my juice order, just to try them out. Some people may not like the shorter coils, but I find that they are actually lasting longer than the coils I ordered from Halo. And they're half the price. Of course everyone has different experiences, but I have a habit of doing the roll/twist dance constantly to keep my wicks saturated and have had great luck with these coils

Resurrecting an old post, but was about to order coils, balked at the price, and wondered if anyone had success using the T2 coils? They look the same (long wick). And are half the price...

@ half the price why not beta test? But judging from the last post from SleepyEagle it appears they work. Just make sure you have some of the real deal just in case... I'm gonna be on the road for 2 weeks, otherwise I would give it a go. Where are you ordering from if I may ask? The link from SleepyEagle is dead.

I will re-wick my old coils as soon as my 2mm silica comes in the vapemail. In five months, I have four coils that are still good but need new wicks. IMO, genuine Halo coils are high quality as I have not burned up any. With this wick order, it comes with a free ten feet of flat Kanthal wire that is .1mm x .6mm which should be fun to experiment with. :vapor:
