Welcome and glad you joined.
Different coils may change the electrical connection problem, hard to tell.
I have found that mods differ in electrical sensitivity with regards to the amount of insulation between the center pin and mod +/- separation.
If you are handy. could make or buy a new center pin head insulated washer. Your "under the pin" head insulated washer is probably crushed (shortening out) and needs replacement.
Something (may have to modify) along the lines of the W850:
Nylon Special Flat Washers [Nylon Special Flat Washers] : E&T Fasteners, Industrial Fasteners and Components
For making my insulating washers,I have a hand operated leather spoked wheel multiple hole punch that works nicely on plastic sheeting.

I never even thought about the wash itself, I may have to look into that STAT! Thanks for the recommendation and the warm welcome!

Most times for me, the insulating washer is the problem. Hit like at the right hand of this post and re post if it solves the problem (or you could reply to this post so I can confirm my suspicions).

That mod should go to .1 resistance. Probably a bad coil. I have a tank that I have to separate the bottom part of the coil from itself about a 1/8 inch. Then when I screw it in it will push back together but make better contact. You know the only part on the coil you can pull apart by hand with the air holes. Sometimes they are squashed together to short and don't make contact.

Ok everyone, I have figured out the solution to the problem and everything is running perfectly now, sadly the only culprit here was poor information on batteries from some sales associates. The batteries I was using were 18650s but they were not powerful enough for the 0.5ohm coils. I got some LGs in there and everything is perfect. Thank you everyone for you help! I truly appreciate it.
