I received my shiny new Triton Twist yesterday and have been loving it... mostly... but I'm thinking it may be defective

I never ever hit the 10 second cut off on my 650mah batteries, but I have noticed I do a lot on the Twist... So I got my trusty stop watch out and timed them. I consistently get 10-11 seconds on all on my 650mah batts - 4 total. The Twist I only get around 8 seconds (7.5-8.5 seconds). Doesn't matter if it is fully charged or not, nor what voltage I use (same for time 3.3v as 4.8V). And the only reason I hit that 8 second cut off is because there is a lag before the Twist kicks in. I hit the button and there is about a 1 second lag before the coil fires up full throttle... the 650's are instantaneous

"Vaping Twisted and confused..." :tumble:

Turns out Garemlin is correct. They seemed the same to me, until I just timed my VVs and standard batteries. I get an average of 11 seconds on the standard and 8 seconds on the VVs. I timed 6 standard and 6 VVs. Looks like your batteries are all right.

Thanks stevegmu for taking the time to check it out... I really appreciate. Yeah, it blew my mind at 1st because I never made my regular Tritons hit cut-off. I actually thought maybe my battery was dead and that was why it was flashing at me. Then after fresh charge, there it goes flashing again  Halo needs to change their VV Twist specs on there site , because it says 10seconds just like the standard batts.

Pretty much the same as my Volts. I get about 8 seconds on the VV and 12 on the regular X2.

How can anybody inhale this much? What am I missing here? :) When I use my Halo Triton, I hit the button for maybe a second and a half. Two seconds at the most. Do some people hold the button down and puff away like you would smoke a cigar? Seems like doing this would go through a lot of coils. :vapor: -Somebody enlighten this newbie regarding a ten second burn!

Hmm... well, are you actually inhaling the vapor like a cigarette? From what I understand, the vaping technique should be more along the lines of cigar smoking. Here is good link on the subject...

Another on nicotine...
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/211345-new-users-nicotine-strength-questions.html

I usually vape for 4.0-6.0 seconds... with the Triton VV Twist and 650mah, I do not start inhaling for 0.5-1.0 second which allows the coil to fire up to operating temperature. So I do sometimes hit the cut off on the Twist because it activates after 7.5-8.5 seconds. So when I do take a slightly longer drag I am hitting the Twist cut off. I never do on the 650mah batts... That is why I was confused when I was on the Twist, because I never had on the regular batts and they were both supposed to both have a 10 second cutoff ;)

I just read the "inhalation technique" thread and this is interesting information. I tried drawing in slower into my mouth and then inhaling. WOW. what a difference. Major increase in throat hit and nic feeling. Awesome! Thank you for the heads up. I love this forum and the more knowledge about vaping for this newbie, the better! It has been over a month now away from cigarettes and I have zero desire to go back. :D
