Hey all,

I've perused across this website and tried everything i have found (both here and on google) and am still coming up clueless...

my Ego (cartridges) has been pulling with a horrendously nasty burnt flavor.

even after I switched out both cartridge and atomizer, it still seemingly is pulling with an off flavor (albeit less horrible, the taste is still there- and its a whole new day)

any idea why this is happening? not using LR atty's, and I have used 200 proof ethanol to clean the batt terminal as well as both new / old atty.

Sometimes atomizers are tested with a flavorless juice or may have a oil type coating. I always clean any new atty with hot water and blow it out, drip a couple of drops of the flavor I'm about to vape, pull 3 hits through it without inhaling and move on down the happy vaping trail. When your battery is fresh, it works at the rated batt voltage for a bit before it drops off slightly and produces a hotter burn. Its like with anything new, it takes some tweaking, but you will get there.

in addition to clearing attys of the primer (I just blow them out several times and then drop unflavored in it and vape that without inhaling for a little while) you need to make sure the carts are wet...not sopping, but wet looking. when I was using carts (which I liked and defend <g>) I had to top them off quite frequently.
just fyi, I now use clear tank carts...I am one of the few who doesn't like cartos
