I have an assortment of Capella flavorings and have had good luck with most. However, I have a few that I simply cannot find ways to make them useful...and perhaps they just aren't my thing. However, I'd be interested to know if anyone has any insight into percentages of them (as stand alone flavors) that would be good and also thoughts about steeping and sweeteners. The flavors are:

Juicy Peach
Cantaloupe
Double Watermelon
Honeydew Melon

Looking forward to replies.

I haven't tried the double watermelon but I have tried the others and I agree as single notes they are a bit... well... boring, for lack of a better word. Good, but boring.

Get some sweetener and use it at about 2% of total

Get some tart and sour (lorann, I think) or some TFA sour (but the tart and sour is smarter choice) and use this at, well... hmmm... 2% again, just to keep it simple but you may need to go up or down to taste. When I'm trying to really notice the zinging side of a fruit flavor I'll go up to 3.5% max.

I don't muck about with steeping. I shake it up super good and if it's good it's good. I also use max amount of VG I can = flavor/VG and that's it.

%s:
I've used the juicy peach, cantaloupe and honeydew at anywhere from 5-40% so... Too many variables involved to really pinpoint where I'd personally like each one as single notes. I can't offer much help there other than the usual "make test batches". Try the sweetener and sourizer :)laugh:) and go from there.
