Since I'm a newbie I can't post in the forum that addresses supplier reviews, so I'm posting here. I placed an order with Health Cabin on February 2, paid for the upgraded shipping, and still haven't received my order. I have e-mailed them and they've supplied a tracking number for EMS but the only project that I see is that it got to he U.S. and is rattling around somewhere in the greater Washington, DC area. Do any of you more experienced, vetern members have any suggestions? I've ordered stuff from China before and have never had a problem.:(

You ordered the day before Chinese New Year. I am pretty sure Chinese New Year backs everything up for at least a week.

And then EMS is no help - you won't see anything on tracking between China and delivery. And hopefully your stuff isn't being picked over by customs. IMO it is almost never worth ordering anything but bulk wholesale stuff from China. One time the FDA blocked shipments for a month until the courts stopped them. One guy I know finally received his stuff and every box was empty. And if you paid with Paypal, don't complain - you could lose your Paypal acct for breaking your user agreement and buying stuff they don't allow to be paid for with Paypal.

This is totally "bunk" for the vast majority of orders from China from my and many other ECF members experience as reported here and I have made about 25 orders from Heaven Gifts and BestEcig. I have never ordered from Health Cabin so I can't speak about them personally. And once your order gets to the US, it is in the hands of the US Postal Service, so the China end of the process is complete. And I have always been able to track my EMS orders via the USPS web site just like orders from US suppliers who provide tracking information.

My last EMS shipped order from BestEcig made it to my door in GA in 4 DAYS which is amazing to me. The longest I had to wait was 9 days. One time I was foolish enough to do the Air Mail shipping and that took almost 3 weeks. And most of my orders are not large, being in the $70 range. Now if your order is coming through customs in Chiacgo vs New York, you have a greater chance of it being delayed by US Customs, unfortunately.

You may have just been one of the rare US Custom delays that occassionally happens.

What I meant by between China and delivery - I've bought a lot of non-ecig things from Asia and typically the status does not update when things are in customs. Once it is at a US post office you know. For me that is usually the same day it is delivered or a attempted to be delivered but perhaps that is because I am near an international hub.

And I did not make up the story of the guy who received empty boxes. And I have seen someone else recently having a long mystery shipping delay with HealthCabin. And then what if something is broken. Living in the US, I would not order anything I want right away from China. I might order bulk cartos or some kind of spiffy new PCC.

i purchased another 510 starter kit for work (cheap enough i can drop and throw) but i stayed away from china -- only cause of the holiday, and also i been looking for 2.4 xl cartomizers -- 1+1=2

i figured untill most of the supplyers get stocked back up on the XL clearomizers -- then china going slow -- and the giantomizer supposed to be released in may aswell as a 1300mAh battery for ego series

i think lots of suppliers are getting back-ordered because of the china new year and customs ontop of that

prolly suggest to stay away from china unless your a supplyer with no other option -- atleast till things get caught back up

When/if something is broken, I have found the Chinese suppliers I deal with to actually be better than their US counterparts on many occasions. As an example, BestEcigs offers a six month warranty on all of their atomizers. As we all know, attys rarely last six months. When I order 10-15 attys, I usually have 7-8 from the last order that have already died. When I email them and explain that that 8 have died, they send me 8 new ones at no charge and never ask for the old ones back. Now that is what I call outstanding customer service. Can you name any US supplier who will do that?

And if you want to order something that you want right away from one of your suppliers, does that mean you cannot wait 4-5 days which is the normal delivery time for my orders from BestEcigs? I don't see how you feel that is a long delivery time.

I can. Liberty Flights. I had problems with an atty after the warrenty ended and asked a question about it. I was sent two new attys from them before I even sent the old one back.

I ordered an adaptor and it was out of stock and they sent me a different adaptor free of charge and also credited my account.

I ordered a starter kit from V4L for my mom who's in her late 70's with no computer. Instead of the two pass-thrus that come with the starter kit, they changed them out for two manual batteries in her choice of colors.

If your happy ordering from China, that's great. I've been extremely happy ordering from USA companies and have had nothing but excellent CS.

I'm not knocking US companies. I have had excellent customer service from Liberty Flights, nhaler, Rocky Mountain Vapor and Ken's Box Mods just to name a few. And when an error is made, they all have responded by replacing an item and usually give me something extra. But knocking all of the Chinese companies or inferring that they take forever or don't have good customer service is just not accurate and leaves a bad impression that I have found not to be warranted.

According to the tracking on EMS, the package has made it as far as Washington, DC on or around 2/22. It just hasn't made it to my office. I may have incorrectly made the assumption that a month was ample shipping time. And yes, I paid for airmail thinking that would speed things up. Nothing but USA suppliers for me here on out.

I do get what you're saying. I haven't ordered from China. Not that I'm adverse to doing it, I have for other items just not vaping supplies.

The US companies I've ordered from are pretty quick, especially nhaler- he's in NJ too.

Do you find much of a savings?

The atomizers I get from BestEcigs cost me $5.32 each and that includes factoring in the price of the shipping which is $15. So the savings is pretty good. And when you average in that they replace attys that die before 6 months, it drops the price to about $2.00 an atty.

Well, that is your problem right there - AIR MAIL SHIPPING - THAT IS THE CHEAP SHIPPING. That will take about 3 weeks. If you pay the extrat $7-$8 for the full EMS shipping you normally get your packages in 4-6 days!!!!

I am not knocking Chinese companies either. Most problems seem to occur in customs and shipping delays.

And my point is that there are no more problems with Chinese companies than there are with US companies for the vast majority of orders and the cost savings can be quite significant.

Despite my polite inquiry, I'm still out $60 and have received no order. I've e-mailed them' no response. I'm glad so many of you have had positive experiences with offshore suppliers such as Health Cabin, but excuse me if I'm more than a little dubious. If anyone has any constructive advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

Since your package arrived in the US, then your inquiry should be either to USPS or US Customs. It appears to be out of the suppliers hands.
