Trouble with my Reo

I have somehow screwed up the squonk bottle o-ring, the one between the bottle and the cap. How on earth are you supposed to make it get back in the right place? It's acting like it's too big to fit on the ledge where it obviously goes. When I get one side of it in place, then push down the other side, the first side pops out again. What am I doing wrong, O Great Reo Guru?

If you can remove the o-ring, then get it partially started in the cap, you should be able to screw the bottle on, which will pop the o-ring back in place.

I take it back. Yes it did. I put the o-ring in the first thread, screwed in the bottle-- gently-- and it popped back into place. Thanks!

Funny, I had the same exact problem with my first Reo & the kind folks over in Reo land told me it settles down after a few days with use. What I did & do if it happens is to use a toothpick, the resting place is a little difficult to see but it doesn't go into the threads, it's actually on top of the threads in the cap. I use the toothpick to get it in place then screw the bottle down. The key is not to screw it down too tight, that's what caused it to lift in the first place. you'll get it as I have with a little practice & as they told me it does indeed seat itself & stay put after some use.

A bit of bottom feeding history there, works great too.

The fancy ones truly do make a difference. After using them for a while, old bottles feel like squonking rocks in comparison. Robs got a great price on them too.

Some juices will swell the o-rings.
1/2"od x 3/8"id x 1/16"cs are the ones you need.
