Trouble with new KFL+

I just received my new kayfun Lite Plus from cloud9. Very beautiful device but I'm having a small problem. I am unable to remove the bottom SS sleeve from the deck portion. I've already managed to put .5 mm scratches on the sleeve due to the tools penetrating the rubber I was using to protect the finish. So i'm applying a fair amount of force. The thing won't budge. I'm about to try heating it up with very hot water to see if I can get it off.

If anyone has any other suggestions I'm all ears..


Edit : never mind. stuck it in hot water for a minute and it turned by hand.. should have done that before i broke the tools out..

Try putting it on the freezer. Wear rubber gloves or use thick rubber bands. Heating it may make it worse.

Thanks for the reply! Hot water did the trick. It came off effortlessly, like finger tight effortless.
