Good luck with your Provari. If the voltage setting is too high for your cartomizer, the Provari will error out before you fry its circuitry.

Extra special care being taken with this one....I was told to start low and work my way up.....but I'm going to my local vape shop and making them help me set her up.......everyone at the store has one :D

ON another note I am going to order new batteries for my bullet from altsmoke because I think you might be right. They are running so dang hot it's burning out my cartos everytime I put a freshly charged set of batteries in. And now I'm starting to cough cause the TH is so harsh. Ty for you help :D

I have used ego tanks, jessys, and some inexpensive variable voltage batterys with giant clear cartomizers, and I've been real happy with all of them. I wasn't very smart when I first started, so I ordered some other stuff that was really inexpensive, and mostly didn't work. I wish I had known about this forum then!! So now that I've been into ecigs for a little over a year. I'm ordering a Provari (They are 10% off on the 28th) and I already have a Lil Mama ordered. I am also looking for something that will last me a 12 hour shift without having to worry about recharging, or refilling. I think this is the answer. Its going to be an investment. But I hear the Provari is the top of the line. Good luck in finding the right one for you :)

I have a Boge Revolution v2.1 and I have a problem with leaking from my atomizer. There is no drip well to catch the juice, so it eventually runs down the side of the device.

It's nice to have a juice reservoir with your PV, but I'm not really impressed with how well it squirts up to your cartomizer. It doesn't help either that there isn't much threading to hold your cartomizer in place (if the cartomizer will screw in at all).

I actually kind of liked the Revolution v1, even if it didn't have the juice bottle. If only they'd priced it to reflect the disposable nature of the device.

I bought those devices at a discount. But there's a reason for those discounts. :(

    Hi jdub,
Fellow trucker here. I started with an ego-t type b. Only used it one trip. Dealing with leaks and having to stop to clean and refill made it useless for me.
I ordered my Provari, topped it with an m1a1 buzz tank (notcigs.com) and 3 ohm boge carto at 4.8 volts it's been a wonderfull vaping experience. I get up in the morning, put in a fresh bat and top off the tank, and good for the road. No mess, no fuss. Just vape and drive.
Provari + prepass = fewer stops.

It's funny how people thing the Provari is so over priced but they don't have restrictions on their warranty *like lavatube* and you can extend the warranty to a 2 year warranty. I can't wait to get mine. I think I made a good investment. I don't want to spend thousands on mods I just want one that works. I've already been through the joye 510, joye ego (no flavor) and I have silver bullet right now. I'm hoping the Provari will be the sweet spot for me and I'm done. When I added up everything I already spent (no I didn't put it on my counter lol) I could have had 2 provari's 3 tanks and 15 bottles of juice. Oh well live and learn :)

I think autos are fine. I can inhale for 10 seconds or longer if I need to (*cough* *cough*). You can get a lot of battery life and juice out of a 900 mAh Echo and not even think about where your thumb is. :) I just don't recommend them as your only PV.

The draw is a little easier with a button though. And you don't kill your manual battery when your juice leaks.

I'm surprised to see everyone suggesting the more expensive mods as a solution. Yes, they are indeed nice, such as the Provari and its various bells and whistles, but in reality, I see a simple eGo passthrough plugged into a USB cigarette lighter plug adapter with a tank mod on top as the most effective and elegant solution to your needs. You could get a tube mod with an 18650 and put a tank on top of that but low resistance carto's with a tank will provide ample vapor, all-day use on a passthrough and 6-8 hours heavy use running on batteries alone, and a 3-5ml tank should last you a good 12-14 drive. Even more, that setup will save you $200 by avoiding the expensive mods.

eGo, like Riva, is essentially a big battery with a 510 connector. The higher capacity battery is important if you want to run lower resistance (for more warmth/power/flavor), as well as for basic longer run time between recharges. Both Riva and eGo have, I believe, both standalone batteries (ones with a separate charger) as well as sit-and-go types (ones with the charger built into the unit, you connect a microUSB cable to the bottom of it to charge).

Newer Rivas run at a bit higher voltage nowadays, somewhere around 3.7V fresh off the charger. I believe both Riva and eGo now also offer variable voltage variants (I'm certain about eGo, which has some units allowing several discrete choices, not so sure on Riva.)

(Personally, I stay with the notcigs variable voltage mods, they just work well for me, but I try to watch what is happening with other PVs.)
