I got this charger last week and immediately fell in love but I was having one problem. I have tried a number of different batteries, vendors, protected, unprotected, etc. without a problem. Except the AW 18650 2900mAh protected. For some reason those would never show fully charged in the TrustFire. First time I ever experienced this. I have six of them, all six yielded the same results. I knew after about six/seven hours to pull them and they'd show fully charged and voltages of ~4.1v.
On the CPF somebody suggested I do this and it worked:
- Charge them for six/seven hours
- Use them for 10/15m, just a little drain
- Charge them again
Voila. I did that once each with each battery and since then the problem has gone away. I have no idea how it happened, why, or what but this fixed it. Now they charge and go green like every other battery.
Love the four-banger charger, it's a big help... and as always David shipped fast and was responsive to my questions. -Magnus
